Job Description

The successful applicant for this role will work on Meta (formerly Facebook), one of the most exciting global media companies on the planet. Meta selected Spark Foundry globally as its partner to play a key role in the company’s rebrand and efforts to reconnect with its audience.

Spark Foundry is responsible for strategic thought leadership, media innovation, planning and investment, cross-channel approaches, tools, tech, and operations for Meta. Traditional reach and awareness marketing play an important role for Meta, especially with product launches within the gaming and virtual reality space likely to play an important role going forward.

As part of the Meta team, you will be at the forefront of innovation and industry transforming developments

Some Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Direct relations with key clients, ensuring you know their business as well as they do.
  • Taking ownership of new briefs, distilling the key asks and what needs to be done, as well as collaborating with key teams to create the strategy.
  • Develop strategies that facilitate creative and innovative campaigns – and working closely with teams to bring these to life.
  • Working hand in hand with the planning team, investment departments, and specialist teams such as Insight, Tech and Data.
  • Driving brand success and building deep, trusting relationships with clients’ business groups and key client stakeholders, acting as the client’s trusted advisor.
  • Ensuring brilliant client service, fostering this culture within the team to ensure smooth delivery a complex piece of business.
  • Understand the data vendors and partners in the marketplace and how we can leverage this for the clients.
  • Have strength and understanding of the digital landscape to achieve significant advantage across all platforms

Qualifications

  • A Strategy Director with media planning and media strategy experience 
  • Strong leadership skills and strategic superpowers
  • An appreciation of the importance of holistic plans, we are looking for someone generalist and not siloed into ‘brand’ or ‘performance’, ‘creative’ or ‘analytical’, ‘digital’ or ‘traditional’ experience
  • Be a strategist with a track record of developing data-led communication solutions, who is prepared to ‘lean in’ and drive transformation for a client that has embraced change.
  • Knowledgeable on consumer research and insight development, able to identify and interpret actionable insights using data.
  • Strong understanding of the creative agency space and able to think creatively themselves 
  • Skills in articulating stories and working collaboratively with cross agency teams
  • Experience working with senior decision makers on client-side with the confidence to challenge when required
