Job Description

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for managing workflow of assigned projects from start to end, such as developing timelines and tracking to ensure projects stick to schedule, talent resourcing, tracking and maintaining burn reports, managing and maintaining overall budget and billing trackers, scheduling meetings and sharing out clear expectations/timing on next steps and managing delivery of all project deliverables.

Responsibilities: 

  • Independently manage 1-2 mid-sized digital projects or multiple concurrent small digital projects
  • Support the program lead (typically an Associate Director or Director of Project Management) in leading a portion of a larger digital engagement on time, on budget while exceeding client expectations.
  • Proactive project planning – manage all details throughout a project ensuring all action items are accomplished timely and accurately.
  • Responsible for scheduling, tracking, change management, evaluating, and controlling projects
  • Partner with Client Management to ensure that all required discovery materials and assets are obtained from the client to begin project execution.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in choosing methods of communication that are most effective and efficient within the agency.
  • Facilitate effective communication among multiple domains (Services, Experiences, DevOps, QA)
  • Work closely with Client Services, Product Managers / Business Analysts, Technology (Developers/Engineers) and QA.
  • Manage contributions from subcontractors and partner resources assigned to projects.
  • Identify cross dependencies quickly, and manage them smoothly throughout the project lifecycle
  • Anticipate, identify, and communicate risks and seek partnership/guidance from program leadership to assist in mitigating any issues.
  • Forecast project workloads by collaborating across departments and determine level of effort for projects and tasks.
  • Manage enterprise level website development projects, including 3D modeling, web dev, content management, and graphics packages at global scale
  • Set clear expectations for tasks and deliverables across teams accountable for work, communicating clearly to the team and providing proper materials/documentation when necessary.
  • Prioritize and streamline tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiencies, proactively identifying issues/risks.
  • Escalate blockers to clients that would hinder the critical path or product delivery and launch
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of project progress: project life cycle analysis, resource management, burn/utilization reporting, detailed timing/schedules, budget input and production issue feedback to program lead.
  • Assess needs and distribute work within a group from concept/development, presentation, and final production.
  • Work with program lead to draft SOWs, Change Orders, and other associated documentation.
  • Understand the basics of rights management, negotiating and licensing.
  • Manage and track vendor financials such as: reviewing and trafficking invoices, developing PO’s, submitting invoices for payment, and handling production budgets.
  • Maintains accurate project documentation on project management systems
  • Ensure the final deliverables meet the quality and expectations of the agency and the client.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant Project Management experience, including managing digital/interactive/web-based projects and/or marketing/advertising agency experience
  • Experience in a client-facing role
  • Experience with Ecommerce preferred
  • Experience managing high-volume or high-complexity digital projects, including Web Dev and 3D modeling applications
  • Solid understanding of web-based design and technology principles, along with site development methodologies and best practices.
  • Digital marketing process experience; specifically, omni-channel.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard productivity and project management tools, such as: Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Smartsheet, JIRA, Box, timesheets, and enterprise financial/staffing forecast systems.
  • Ability to work across all functional departments.
  • Ability to adapt to several different team structures/types of work, including navigating an Agile environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in conjunction with workflow steps and internal processes.
  • Strong communication, organization, communication, and follow up skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative & takes personal responsibility for work.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • Accountability and flexibility with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, team-player attitude; track record of working productively with a wide range of people.
  • Exhibits strong listening skills and the ability to tactfully communicate position on relevant issues to reach team consensus.
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or SCRUM/Agile certified is nice to have, but not required.
