Lead Analytic Consultant (Remote)

Job Description

The Analytic Consulting Group partners with internal and external clients and data providers, leveraging predictive analytics and advanced statistical techniques to drive strategic thought and effective decision making. The Lead Analytic Consultant manages analytic initiatives from conception to completion, providing clients and key stakeholders actionable results and insights that help them achieve their business objectives.

This role would focus on campaign execution for one of Epsilon’s largest analytic clients.  This client has a complex suite of statistical models and optimization supporting its campaigns, and the person in this role would be part of the team ensuring that this process occurs without errors.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate, error-free execution of a variety of monthly campaign-related processes, including model runs, model code changes, and optimization scenarios.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client and Epsilon stakeholders on an analytic project; from project kick-off to presentation of results
  • Assist in the development of project requirements, analytic plans, SOWs, project timelines, and other related materials for the management of deliverables
  • Account for the overall management of analytic projects; including timeliness, quality, and client value; QA/QC data and report output to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare reports, uncover data findings in various analysis and effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently to ensure successful completion of analytic projects
  • Prioritize and monitor project progress against goals; tracking budgeted hours

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, economics, mathematics, marketing analytics)
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics field
  • Fluency in SQL and at least one of these programming languages (SAS, Python, R) , 
  • Team player with the ability to mentor and manage junior resources
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Relationship building on cross-functional teams (including statistical, technical, and non-technical marketing resources)
  • Self-motivated and collaborative
  • Acute attention to detail (QA/QC)
  • Effective organization and time management skills for managing multiple projects and priorities concurrently

Desirable Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master’s/PhD) in Statistics, Economics or other quantitative discipline
  • Business visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Using a Linux /Unix environment
  • Apache Impala SQL scripting
  • Experience in SAS; working knowledge of Hadoop, Spark and other big data technologies
  • Optimization algorithms and tools e.g. FICO Xpress, SAS/MO
