Job Description

As a product owner for Epsilon’s market leading PeopleCloud platform, you will be part of a larger product team and work closely with various engineering teams delivering enhancements and new product functionality using the latest technology trends. PeopleCloud serves the digital marketing needs of some of the world’s most recognizable brands across all verticals. We’re looking for a product owner who can transform market problems into product requirements and deliver solutions that power the successful digital marketing strategies of these leading brands.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as Product Owner for a Service or Feature Set within the platform
  • Analyze Feature requirements and develop User Stories in collaboration with Product Management and Engineering
  • Participate in planning and design discussions and document the outcomes and decisions made
  • Support development teams in getting requirements clarification questions answered in a timely manner to avoid delays in development timelines
  • Work as a liaison between development teams to ensure interfaces are designed to specifications and document any gaps that may come to light
  • Participate in the QA process by understanding the implementation and helping to define test cases based on the user requirements
  • Collaborate with Front End Web Developers, UI/Graphic Designers, UX Designers, and Product Management on feature prioritization, design, and implementation
  • Mentor junior-level business analysts and software engineers

Required Experience/Skills

  • BS in computer science, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Management, Quality Engineering, Development or related experience
  • Working knowledge of JIRA or other Agile Project Management Tools
  • Experience with agile development methodology, preferably at scale
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and a strong initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good leadership skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent listening skills

Desirable Experience/Skills

  • Understanding of unstructured data (“Big Data”) is a plus
  • Solid understanding of Marketing concepts, Marketing technologies, Ad technologies, Direct Mail, or CRM
  • Solid understanding of Digital Marketing tools and technologies including email, on-line advertising, web analytics
  • Understanding of data warehouse and data mart data modeling concepts
  • Prior experience in developing in a product engineering organization is preferred
