Job Description

We’re searching for a VP Director, Data Strategy who will be a leader within the core Data and Analytics (DNA) team.  Data and Analytics is structured into four specialties:  Data Intelligence, Data Technology, Data Strategy, and Data Operations.  

 

The Data and Analytics team works with partners both internally and externally to activate a technology roadmap that creates relevance while driving business outcomes. Data Strategy & Technology, Adobe Specialist leaders are responsible for developing and translating the data in a meaningful way by applying Adobe Suite insights/platforms to business challenges.  This requires being a jack-of-all trades when it comes to data, business and marketing data strategy & performance analytics. Adobe Specialist leads are responsible for the foundational elements that make our clients better able to plan, optimize, measure and share the performance of their marketing efforts in relation to audience segmentation, data management platforms and customer management platforms.

 

The VP Director, Data Strategy plays a critical role in driving our technology agenda forward focusing on enabling and scaling segmentation and personalization technologies. The VP Director, Data Strategy is key to identifying a clear set of use cases, data utilization strategy, implementation priorities and enablement strategies to ensure the successful implementation, adoption and optimization of a given marketing technology stack. Additionally, they will have a strong marketing, advertising and personalization acumen that enables them to effectively understand the needs of and partner with marketing & sales professionals. 

 

Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Collect the current use cases and value of data-driven experiences for today, as well as future expectations
  • Create a roadmap grounded in people, process, data, and technology realities
  • Assess and recommend data governance and quality processes inclusive but not limited to data taxonomy and tagging standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to advance data-driven scale and sophistication
  • Assess and select best in class data visualization, data manipulation and data storage solutions and products
  • Oversee the ongoing development and population of databases and automated dashboards
  • Participate and contribute in design and documentation
  • Review current state and document findings
  • Design and provide solutions to fit the requirements of the project stakeholders, customers, and end-users conforming to the standards established by the IT and marketing organizations.
  • Create technical design documents that explain system flows, data flows, and technical component interaction diagrams.
  • Support the development of the overall measurement strategy for clients through discovery and development of measurement plans, learning agendas, and test plans
  • Support the development of measurement frameworks and actionable insight generation
  • Day-to-day collaboration with key vendors and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal team on client communications and deliverables, helping to define the story in a simple and concise way and communicate success of client’s marketing efforts
  • Collaborate on day-to-day client deliverables
  • Proactively propose performance improvements for clients’ marketing activities
  • Through compelling data visualizations, develop, maintain and communicate insights, key metrics and reports, highlighting opportunities for improvement
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed about new opportunities, issues and performance successes.
  • Collaborate with DNA leadership to develop and document case studies with process and results
  • Partner with DNA leadership in in new client acquisition and new business development
  • Foster a team environment and play an active role in building teams

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business experience in marketing consulting, advertising or interactive 5+ years of work experience with analytics and optimization platforms
  • Experience developing optimization and personalization programs
  • Experience with implementation of Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, and Adobe Target
  • Experience integrating with Audience Manager, 1st and 3rd party data sources
  • Four-year degree (with a business focus such as Statistics, Economics, Finance or Marketing)
  •  Master’s degree (preferred)
  • Expertise within the digital environment and in aligning marketing strategies with business needs
  • Knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including primary research, segmentation, targeting, direct marketing and customer care)
  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Experience managing and coordinating multiple projects
  • Proven record with strong client relationship skills
  • Strong familiarity with the digital environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Candidate must be open to travel as needed
