Position Summary

The Senior Strategic Planner is an inspirational thinker and a fearless collaborator with a passion for culture and uncovering human truths within the spaces of Sports & Entertainment primarily. He/she/they must be curious and a quick learner, a creative thinker who values all sources of intel (social media comments, articles and pop culture news. Someone whose writing skills are exceptional. They are the ultimate insight-miner, someone who enjoys gathering and analyzing trends, research findings and turning them into opportunities for brands to better connect with people.  The person in this role will have access to a wide variety of planning tools (qual and quant) that will be very helpful in the development of POVs, creative briefs and well crafted presentations. 

This role serves as the partner to the Sports & Entertainment team and support to the Chief Strategy Office, who is responsible for the Strategic success of one of the leading QSR brands, specifically dedicated to increasing brand affinity and consideration and fostering brand love. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop insightful and inspirational creative briefs and compelling presentations that elegantly draw on consumer psychographics/behavior, and cultural understanding.

  • Be on the constant lookout for new and creative ways to authentically connect a well known QSR brand with Hispanics via cultural trends, behaviors and aspirations

  • Analyze creative ad performance (Ace) data to identify learnings that can be applied to subsequent efforts

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience with Ad Agency Planning teams or a related industry (Knowledge of advertising model is ideal)

  • Proficiency in English + Spanish reading

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to different day to day assignments  

  • Strong communication skills

  • Digital knowledge

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Insatiable cultural and ethnographic curiosity 

  • Generous and kind attitude toward all colleagues and clients 

  • Creative disposition persistently seeking new and novel approaches  

  • Strong work ethic and desire to go the distance to deliver

  • Exceptional written and oral communication ability 

  • Confident and compelling presentation skills 

  • Strong deck building and storytelling 

  • Proficiency with syndicated business tools (MRI/Simmons, Netbase, Helixa, etc.)

  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is highly desirable

  • Visual Design skills are a plus
