Job Description

The Paid Social Solutions Director will be responsible for driving Paid Social performance within PMX Consulting, through direct involvement within local, regional & global client Paid Social-focussed assessments, development and scaling of strategic products, pitch work and channel education. This role’s scope covers the EMEA region, working with the Head of Capability and Service to promote, expand and protect Paid Social investment and develop sustainable growth opportunities, and supports the PMX Consulting commercial lead. As a result, the successful candidate will be a strategically- and operationally-minded self-starter, with an aptitude for creating commercial value, and a desire to be a leading figure in Paid Social activation development.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Product Acceleration

  • Leading regional Biddable Power Paid Social product deployments to agency teams across region, to support account development
  • Product pipeline ownership – developing initiatives and solutions to identify and track Biddable Power product-led account opportunities/adoption of products across region
  • Supporting agency teams and wider PMXC team with deploying and scaling Paid Social activation-related products & services
  • Working with agency teams to understand business impact/performance of Biddable Power products

Strategic Product Development

  • Developing an expert understanding of agency team local, regional, global and account-specific Paid Social solutions, tools or services required
  • Conducting market research and analysis to define and create Biddable Power product development proposals for existing and new offerings (product expansion, new product development, etc.)
  • Developing and maintaining product-specific documentation and training materials to ensure effective product scaling

Account Assessments

  • Leading development of Paid Social audit/evaluation templates to gather business intelligence & insights on local market, regional and global accounts
  • Delivery of account analysis & insights, and consulting account teams on the development/implementation of resultant account-specific action plans

Paid Social Practices/Operations Acceleration

  • Consulting/overseeing regional and local market pitch responses, gather business intelligence/insights on activation strategy, tactics, services and operational models of clients and documenting/understanding best practice/benchmarks at an agency, sector, regional & global level
  • Consulting/overseeing Paid Social operating model development/guidelines for both global and local clients, aligning with commercial and account teams
  • Working within and promoting PMXC’s defined approach to creating sustainable Paid Social operational models, services principles, and best practices, and how Paid Social can integrate with other digital channels

Channel Education

  • Be an agency team's ‘go to’ person for all things Paid Social strategy and best-in-class execution-related
  • Coordinating/delivering Paid Social activation education & thought leadership to senior stakeholders within the business to inspire and ensure alignment on key issues
  • Capturing key insights and developing spotlight/follow-ups opportunities from regional council meetings throughout the year
  • Surfacing and sharing great work from Paid Social teams across the region
  • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Work with agency account teams to ensure channel operations and tactics are optimised
  • Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met
  • Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, new business, global and regional finance teams, activation leads, etc.)
  • Accepts extra duties as situations arise

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years prior experience planning and buying Paid Social, ideally with an agency background (preferred), seeking a more strategic role. Experience in additional digital channels will be an advantage
  • Demonstrable experience leading development and deployment of account/campaign operational materials including strategy documentation, automation solutions, campaign operations and account governance
  • Experience as a leading contributor within new business pitches, driving organic growth, and introduction of new services
  • Strong knowledge of/experience with major Paid Social platforms, and operational aspects of managing biddable platform instances, including instance creation, set up and governance
  • Strong knowledge of the Paid Social landscape and emerging trends
  • An understanding of the financial aspects of a client account
  • Demonstrable experience consulting, presenting, and communicating with executives and other key stakeholders – able to create clear points of view on technical subjects and activation best practices, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – able to influence and grow relationships through new strategies and innovative ideas
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset
  • Flexible and hard working – used to working to deadlines under pressure
  • Must be highly organized, a self-starter, detail-oriented and solutions focused
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once
  • International experience is not essential but preferable
  • Fluent in English, foreign languages are not essential, but certainly very useful in this role
