Job Description

In the Langland Medical Strategy & Education (MSE) team, we love reality, it’s where we live. It’s where professionals, protocols and p-values come face to face with the imperfect and unpredictable. We think further, exploring how insight can give data meaning in the real world, stimulating open discourse that people value, to advance human health.

Key responsibilities of a Medical Writer I include:

  • Creating scientific and creative content within timelines and budget, ensuring the high quality, scientific accuracy, creativity and integrity of own work
  • Developing a good understanding of assigned therapy areas and proactively remaining up to date with emerging trends and advances in the field
  • Undertaking fact and reference checking of other’s work to ensure accuracy and validity of content
  • Interacting directly with clients on content developed
  • Providing research and content support for new business initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • A talent for writing and the ability to write compelling medically and/or scientifically orientated content
  • Good at understanding and communicating complex science (you should hold a bachelor’s degree in the life sciences [2:1 or above] and ideally a master’s degree or PhD)
  • Able to develop strong relationships –based on exceptional verbal, as well as written, communication abilities –and comfortable providing advice and guidance to others
  • Able to assimilate, interpret and effectively re-communicate medical/scientific topics
  • Effective time management and prioritization
