Job Description

Consumer and Category Understanding:

- Analyze existing data, market reports and trends
- Develop ad-hoc research projects
- Attend focus groups to do qualitative research
- Research the product or service to be advertised, which may involve gaining technical or specific knowledge
- Research the competitive environment: the market situation and the communication in the category
- In summary, gain a comprehensive context for advertising strategies by analyzing a range of information in great detail, including demographics, socio-economics and the market for the client’s product

Briefing and Communication Strategies:

- Work with the client to establish their aims and objectives
- Write creative briefs or participate in writing briefs with inputs and directions
- Brief the creative team; set the strategic angle to approach a project; provide the creative team with a clearly defined brief that contains concise information on the product, category, audience and strategy
- Communicate with colleagues within the agency, such as creatives and account managers in the process of developing a campaign

Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years in in brand strategy/planning, marketing consulting, advertising, or interactive marketing
  • The ability to think on your feet and an eagerness to explore all available resources to think outside the box
  • Zealous passion for rolling up your sleeves to bring ideas to life with cross-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills; you will be face-to-face with various departments at their busiest moments
  • Strong familiarity and comfort with the digital environment/media analytics and aligning strategies with business needs across all channels
  • Good at data sources, qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and a keen eye of when and how to apply them to client challenges
  • The ability to thrive in an environment that values innovation and collaboration with a global network
  • A self-starter approach and true sense of ownership regarding work at each point of delivery
  • Technically proficient in presentation planning and development
  • Curiosity to learn more about the advertising business and planning from field publications, industry blogs and industry collateral
