Job Description

This role is responsible for media trading and television buying across a designated portfolio.  The role is crucial to providing excellence in trading, working within a strong and skilled specialist team.

Reporting to the Head of Investment, and working with the MBM Account Service teams you will execute trading negotiations for radio, cinema, print, out of home and manage buying and delivery for a designated portfolio of television clients.

What you will do

  • Managing TV buys for specific clients to achieve the best possible results- working alongside planners to execute. Includes buying, daily monitoring, optimizing, post analysis, budget management, contract reviews, ensuring campaign delivery is on point
  • Providing planning support information where required, eg. audience trends analysis, assessing sponsorship opportunities and providing advice on TV planning principles and other buying analysis
  • Reporting and document preparation, as required
  • Review ratecard releases and pricing information, forming a view on how these impact clients and pivots required to minimize impacts
  • Checking invoices are accurate via Pegasus
  • Support the training and mentoring of junior staff
  • Be responsible for the offline media negotiations, within your designated client portfolio, ensuring best in market rates and value are delivered for our clients.  It is anticipated you will work with the planning teams, to negotiate with media partners and help maintain the profile of the MBM trading philosophy in market
  • Build strong relationships with media suppliers, ensuring you are a core member of the team
  • Identify first to market opportunities- sponsorship, innovation and new media products
  • Attending client meetings as needed
  • Help keep the wider team informed about the developments in offline media channels, understanding too, the broader view of the video ecosystem
  • Assist with pitches as and when required, from a trading view point
  • Work with the Head of Investment to manage trading forecasting across all channels for designated portfolio.

 

Qualifications

About you

  • 5-7+ years media experience
  • Sound experience in TVMAP and the Nielsen suite of tools
  • Be punctual
  • Prioritise workloads to ensure work of the greatest importance to the business is undertaken with urgency and to a high standard
  • Support and help develop a positive workplace culture
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Responsibly manage all business resources within accountability levels
