Job Description

The Planner is the “Master of Investment Details”, capable of running small to medium-sized projects with limited day-to-day supervision and they begin to take on soft management responsibilities of training Associates.

The goal for this role is to continue to learn and apply basic Investment Management + Operations principles.

 

Key Responsibilities

Knowledge

·       Clear understanding of the investment process

·       Exposure to both digital and offline media channels

·       Understanding of the overall media marketplace and partner landscape

·       Understands client’s business and goals

·       Solid understanding of partnership opportunities, deals and terms

·       Solid understanding of agency Terms + Conditions and media partner contracting process

·       Solid knowledge of investment tools, including Mediaocean and MediaTools and other proprietary PHM investment tools

 

Internal:  Investment Management + Operations

·       Begins to contribute to the planning process

·       Helps to monitor partner agreements and T+Cs for accuracy and consistency

·       Responsible for the campaign set-up and stewardship of buys in Mediaocean and MediaTools

·       Informed of campaign set-up in buying systems, including set-up of any required fees, commissions and/or taxes and responsible for checking accuracy

·       Responsible for the details of the day-to-day campaign execution for the Investment team

·       Responsible for the implementation of approved media plan investments

·       Accountable for on-budget delivery of campaigns

·       Accountable for the actualization and reconciliation of media investments

·       Able to identify and chart a course forward for partner payment mitigation and resolution in a timely manner

·       Leads development and delivery of Savings + Value reports

·       Accountable for the close out of campaigns at the end of the year

 

Internal + External Relationships

·       Responsible for the training of Associates

·       Continued development of relationships with key media partners

·       Collaborates internally across capabilities and teams

Qualifications

·       Exhibits professionalism, integrity, self-awareness, and an attitude of continuous improvement

·       Ability to multi-task, manage one’s time, and demonstrate personal organization to meet deadlines

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Knowledge of media investment systems and tools (Mediaocean, MediaTools, etc…)

·       Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·       Adherence to agency procedures (on-time and accurate time sheets, GDPs, 360 feedback)

·       2-4 years of industry experience, preferably within media planning and/or buying

·       Pharmaceutical industry a plus

·       BA/BS
