The Senior Digital Media Planner will assist in the day-to-day stewarding of media activity on assigned accounts and has responsibility for updating client documents, the strategic development of media campaigns, ongoing management (including analyzing, negotiating, recommending plan optimizations, and demonstrating how media investments deliver on business goals of client(s). This person will be responsible for knowing the procedures and processes of running day-to-day activity of assigned account(s) and must effectively communicate the status and next steps of projects with Assistant Media Planner(s), Media Planner(s), Media Supervisor, and Associate Media Director

·       Lead media pre-planning and planning process for assigned projects, gather and analyze research (Comscore, eMarketer, MRI, Simmons, Google Trends, etc.) to inform RFP list development

·       Assist in directing the development, implementation and maintenance of media objectives/strategies and plans utilizing research tools and historical data

·       Write, analyze and present point-of-views and plans to agency and client audiences

·       Coach, guide, inspire, lead and manage performance of all direct reports

·       Ability to construct media plans including all key elements at a basic level with minimal guidance

·       Apply strong understanding of various media vehicles including strengths, weaknesses and required media calculations

·       Perform ongoing stewardship of media plans and client documents

·       Keep abreast of new media opportunities and developments and share information with planning group

·       Prepare and maintain budgets, flowcharts and related documentation to ensure investments are executed flawlessly

·       Meet with sales representatives to analyze value and applicability of media vehicles for client media plan

·       Work with calculations and other quantitative data

  • All other duties as assigned


·       2-3 years of media planning experience (Digital Media, Custom Content, Programmatic)

·       Strong communication skills; written, verbal and presentation

·       Strong interpersonal skills, effective team player

·       Working comprehension of strategy development

·       Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and take direction from various sources

·       Able to use good judgment when making business decisions and performing tasks

·       Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), MRI, Simmons, Nielsen, MediaOcean/Prisma, Google Campaign Manager, GA360, MediaTools and other industry software tools

·       Able to apply critical thinking and analysis in business writing
