Job Description

As a strategic leader, the VP Group Strategy Director is a visible and trusted face of strategy for UnGroupe’s clients, delivering a strong understanding of the Hispanic Market across the acculturation spectrum. This role will be responsible for guiding the strategic thinking internally within UnGroupe and with delivering strategy presentations to clients, where strong storytelling is at the core. The VP Group Strategy Director will be a valued partner to the internal account management team in the discovery and planning of solutions to business challenges and on the other hand, will work very collaboratively with the creative and social media teams in developing and providing fresh Hispanic insights that serve as the strategic foundation for all creative brief development. 

The VP Group Strategy Director is expected to be an inspirational thinker, a deft collaborator, and a positive leader. They should have a thoughtful opinion on all matters concerning business and consumer strategy development, as well as the voice and passion to see their perspective be assertively communicated to clients and through in the creative process. They are expected to present original thinking—grounded in an understanding of the business, the brand, the interplay of the two—that is inspirational and persuasive to both internal and external audiences. To this end, the VP Group Strategy Director must confidently present and defend their strategic positions, at times in the face of disagreement. 

The VP Group Strategy Director is responsible for the day-to-day operational success of major telecommunications brands, specifically dedicated to increasing brand awareness, fostering brand love and driving product and service consideration.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience with creative strategy

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (read and understand)

  • Insatiable cultural and ethnographic curiosity 

  • Generous and kind attitude toward all colleagues and clients 

  • Creative disposition persistently seeking new and novel approaches  

  • Strong work ethic and desire to go the distance to deliver

  • Exceptional written and oral communication ability 

  • Confident and compelling presentation skills 

  • Strong deck building and storytelling 

  • Proficiency with syndicated business tools
