Job Description

Our Health and Wellness practice is looking for an Associate Creative Director, Copywriter (ACD/Copy) to join us in reinventing what’s next for one of our top clients in the pharmaceutical space.  As an ACD/Copy in this role, you will be responsible for the developing persuasive and compelling content for our pharmaceutical client that drives response, enhances brands, and creates dialogs among HCP audiences.  You are both a hands-on creator who engages at a tactical level in the concepting, development, and execution of cross-channel HCP-driven initiatives and a strategically insightful contributor who partners with internal team members to ensure our work is strategically sound, creatively brilliant, and designed to deliver the outcomes that our clients and its target audiences deserve.  

To qualify, you have deep expertise in developing multi-channel digital campaigns for pharmaceutical clients, ideally in high science therapeutical areas, and extensive experience writing long-form and short-form content for HCP-directed audiences.  Reporting to the VP, Group Creative Director, Health, and Wellness, you will serve as the day-to-day creative lead on this pharmaceutical business, creating, and executing cross-channel campaigns that engage HCP-driven audiences and drive response. The digital space will be your primary focus—social, display, video, web, and email — and you’ll be expected to see your work through from concept to final execution independently or with the help of junior team members and your manager. Your Responsibilities:
Creates high quality creative content to support cross-channel initiatives that meet brand objectives for assigned pharmaceutical business on HCP-directed projects.
Generates new and inventive ideas, alongside art and visual partners, to achieve creative excellence on behalf of our clients.
Collaborates with Strategy and Account colleagues to refine creative briefs and interacts with project teams to understand business objectives and audience insights and translates concepts into effective messaging.
Provides creative direction and inspiration to other writers and teams where appropriate using judgement to elevate thinking that aligns with the brief and project scope.
Presents and sells ideas to clients; listens and interprets client feedback.
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the client’s brand & overall industry.
Ensures medical accuracy of content and applies client-provided information, market research, and brand guidelines to content and copy to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
Develops and grows the skills and experience of the creative team members, as assigned.
Ensures concepts, rounds, and final copy are on strategy, correct, error-free, and cost-effective to produce.
Learns to identify new business opportunities within existing accounts to expand current assignments and acquire new projects.
Recommends improvements to the agency’s processes and procedures and employs best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree OR Creative Portfolio School Certificate OR equivalent work experience preferred.

7+ years with HCP-driven initiatives required
7-10 years of experience as an integrated marketing copywriter in an advertising or in-house role

Oncology experience a big plus
Pharmaceutical agency and/or brand experience required; proven experience writing for
Possesses strong communication and presentation skills.
