Job Description

Razorfish has an immediate need for a freelance Content Strategy Lead to start ASAP and work on a 3+ month project for an international real estate company. Freelancers will be considered for contract extension as well as conversion to FTE based on performance and budget.

As Content Strategy Lead, you will provide support to the client project by understanding, applying and disseminating content strategy best practices as part of a larger, cross-functional team. You collaborate closely with the Creative, UX and strategy teams to understand and help support client objectives and user requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce content strategy deliverables such as digital ecosystem content audits, taxonomy, content models and develop content strategy, content plans and POVs for digital content
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to provide thought leadership on content strategy and evaluate how audience needs / business objectives align in a future state site experience for our client.
  • Collaborate with clients to frame content strategy needs and opportunities to address their multi-audience needs and consult on options regarding digital strategy with many interrelated site experiences and create or review site structure, taxonomy, nomenclature and tagging for the most intuitive presentation of content 
  • Provide high-level content recommendations and develop Consumer Experience Journey content paths and omni-channel content plans that help clients and their target audience achieve their goals based on information obtained through site audits, competitive assessments, user testing, and site metrics  
  • Facilitate analysis & synthesis of stakeholder interviews, user research findings, translation of consumer insights and business objectives into content strategy recommendations
  • Research audience insights and trends to develop audience-centric content plans across the pre- to post-purchase CEJ 
  • Create content strategy playbooks and governance guidelines
  • Create and/or maintain an editorial calendar to align site releases with product launches, seasonal promotions, cultural and shopping moments, and more  
  • Generate or maintain an inventory/matrix of site content, including related assets
  • Content model and matrix development, including for personalization and intelligent content solutions 
  • Develop creative briefs to inform content creation
  • Help maintain editorial standards and accuracy/quality of content 
  • Client relationship building
  • Participate in cross-disciplinary idea generation and client co-creation sessions, including creating and facilitating content workshops
  • Assist with estimation, scoping & project planning with content strategy deck
     

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of professional digital content strategy experience working on complex software, transactional or ecommerce experiences, with medium to large-sized teams, preferably in a cross disciplinary digital agency/consulting environment
  • 5+ years of experience with large multi-site web channel discovery phase projects to define content strategy requirements for design phases
  • Familiar with best-in-class CMS and DAM platforms, working with tech discipline to evaluate and how to implement with content strategy documentation
  • Client-facing presentation experience, preferably C-Suite
  • Experience working with UX, creative and strategy teams to develop best-in-class content strategy
  • Experience working on B2B commerce platforms preferred
  • Experience working on content strategy for automotive brand a plus
  • Excellent Powerpoint, Excel, Word, editing and proofreading skills
