A talented Visual Designer who will bring their exceptional creative thinking and design skills to our client’s Marketing Communications team. The Designer will work on a fast-paced technology account. Digital screen design in immersive retail environments – from creative and technology strategy, to design and production, to installation and support. Our focus is to constantly push the boundaries of retail across the multiple stores—all with varying architecture, store designs, screens, and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Art Directors and the larger project team to explore concepts and iterate on layouts for responsive design focused projects
  • Immersive experiences for retail environments including digital signage.
  • Collaborating with strategists, copywriters, experience design/CX, visual/motion designers and environmental designers as well as development teams and project managers to translate ideas to compelling brand experiences
  • Extend visual systems/brand guidelines across all mediums with moderate design change
  • Create original designs based on existing templates, adhering to design principles and brand guidelines in established layouts and form factors
  • Create adaptations of original designs for different devices, locales, and environments
  • Provide build-ready design files in a timely manner while meeting high-quality standards
  • Work with developers to ensure that all visual elements and copy are pixel perfect
  • Prepare for creative reviews by outputting optimized files for presentation
  • Identify opportunities for process, design system, style guide, user experience, and documentation improvements

Qualifications

Qualities

  • Proficiency in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, proportion, rhythm, emphasis, and unity
  • Ability to articulate ideas and be clearly understood by creative, project management, and development staff, both in verbal and in written format
  • Excellent digital file structure and asset management skills to keep work organized so it may be easily shared and modified by others
  • Team player who takes initiative to collaborate with others to find solutions
  • Ability to deliver quality design in a tight timeframe while maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, creative environment

Required Skills and Experience

  • BA or BFA in Graphic Design (or equivalent years of experience)
  • Photoshop expertise, including intelligently organizing files for design iteration, setting up files for production, and adhering to graphic design standards
  • Experience working within an established brand’s style guidelines
  • Proficiency with Adobe AfterEffects, InDesign, Sketch, and Principal software are a PLUS
  • Experience using video, motion samples and/or prototyping to present your creative ideas to team members and stakeholders are a PLUS
