Job Description

As a Senior Art Director, you’re a master of visual hierarchy, scale, balance and contrast. And you have a keen eye for detail and strive for pixel perfection. You’ve got all the technical skills and work in the most current industry tools, making you the “yes, I do know the Sketch key command for that” kind of creative person. You’re a collaborator who works with multi-discipline teams, and open to internal and external feedback. And you’re not afraid to present your work and the thinking behind it to internal teams as well as with clients. 
 
In this role, you’ll report to the VP, Group Creative Director and will work on one of the biggest brands in the world. The CRM space will be your primary focus, bringing 1:1 communications to life through emails, web design, gif animations and direct mail — and you’ll be expected to see your work through from concept to final execution, managing your workload independently to meet deadlines. Your Responsibilities:

  • Own the role of primary Senior Art Director on multiple projects at once.
  • Collaborate with Senior Copywriters to develop concepts that are on-strategy and on-brand.
  • Work with various disciplines to ensure on time delivery (Account, UX, Dev, Production Artists, etc.).
  • Develop presentation decks.
  • Present your thinking and ideas to internal teams both in person and video meetings.
  • Assist in new business pitches.
  • Stay current on industry trends and standards.
  • Ensure everything is produced to the highest standards of accuracy and quality control.
  • Art direct photo shoots.
  • Provide art direction to Graphic Designers and Production Artists as needed.
  • Recommend improvements and changes to the agency’s processes and procedures and employ best practices.
  • Report to the VP, Group Creative Director. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design OR Creative Portfolio School Certificate OR equivalent design experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in an advertising or in-house design role.
  • Possesses strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Takes constructive criticism.
  • No ego. Collaborates easily and often.
  • Displays good judgement, maturity, and enthusiasm.
  • Experienced multi-tasker.
  • Flexible and adaptive to meet changing needs or direction.
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite program skills.
  • Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, XD, Sketch or Figma required.
  • AfterEffects, HTML, HTML5, CSS knowledge is a plus, but not required.
  • Wide-ranging portfolio featuring digital and direct marketing campaigns required.
