Job Description

As a Designer, you appreciate the beauty of fonts and know the difference between straight and curly quotes. You’re obsessed with mastering visual hierarchy, scale, balance, and contrast. You are hungry to explore creative challenges in iconography and illustrations and have a keen eye for photography. And you can work in different styles, whether it be your own or someone else’s. You’ve got all the technical skills and work in the most current industry tools, making you the “yes, I do know the key command for that” kind of designer. You’re a creative collaborator who works with multi-discipline teams, and open to internal and external feedback. And you’re not afraid to present your work and the thinking behind it to internal teams.   

In this role, you’ll report to the VP, Group Design Director and will work with some of biggest brands in the world. The digital space will be your primary focus— email, social, display, web, and app design — and you’ll be expected to see your work through from concept to final execution with the help of your senior team members and manager. Managing your workload independently to meet deadlines are a must. If this sounds like you, we’d love to talk. 

Your Responsibilities: 
Own the role of primary designer on multiple projects at once. 
Ensure quality of error-free design deliverables. 
Design in and around existing brand standards. 
Create original art and design solutions using the industry leading tools, or grabbing a pencil. 
Work with various disciplines to ensure on time delivery (Account, UX, Dev, Production Artists, etc.). 
Contribute to creative concepting for client work and new business pitches. 
Design successful brand communication across channels including email, social, display, etc. 
Stay current on industry trends and standards. 
Present your thinking and ideas to internal teams both in person and video meetings. 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Design OR Creative Portfolio School Certificate OR equivalent design experience preferred. 
3–5 years of experience in an advertising or in-house design role. 
Possesses strong communication and presentation skills. 
Takes constructive criticism. 
No ego. Collaborates easily and often. 
Displays good judgement, maturity, and enthusiasm. 
Experienced multi-tasker. 
Flexible and adaptive to meet changing needs or direction. 
Advanced Adobe Creative Suite program skills. 
Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma required. 
AfterEffects, HTML, HTML5, CSS knowledge is a plus, but not required.
