To assess, design and oversee the delivery of new and existing IT platforms for the Global Infrastructure Services Function whilst maintaining alignment to both strategic, financial and security objectives and policies. Technical proposals must be in line with key business and IT strategies such as global data centre consolidation and cloud adoption.

Proposed solutions must be aligned to the Groupe’s global support function to ensure they deliver the required performance, reliability and scalability, meeting both the business needs whilst providing the availability and stability in line with our global SLA and KPIs

• Propose sound technical solutions that solve the IT needs of the Groupe by using existing, approved platforms.
• Keep abreast of enterprise IT industry trends and solutions and where applicable organise the proof-of-concept testing to establish if said solutions can be adopted by the Groupe.
• Ensure all proposed and implemented designs are in line with the Groupe’s financial, security and strategic objectives.
• Maintain a strong awareness of the Group’s ISMS and ensure platforms are aligned to our security and data protection policies.
• Oversee the implementation of new solutions and remain a key point of contact and escalation point for the implementation teams.
• Work closely with the project teams, ensuring work packages are delivered on time and to a high standard
• Manage multiple tasks, incidents, and project work effectively under pressure and within given deadlines
• Ensure documentation is created and accurately maintained following Groupe standards, to ensure it remains relevant and always up to date.
• Undertake any other activities that are reasonably required

Business Compliance

Ensure a sound understanding of, demonstrate commitment to and comply with all legislation & Publicis Groupe Policies e.g., Janus, GSO and IT policies, etc.

Experience/Qualifications/Certifications

• Strong working background and architectural knowledge gained over several years in enterprise server and storage platforms with the following skills in particular:
• VMware ESX/vCenter
• Enterprise backup and DR technologies such as Veritas NBU, SRM and Veeam
• Server hardware and OS technologies
• Enterprise Storage SAN environments such as DellEMC, Netapp and Brocade
• Microsoft Azure/AWS/Other cloud hosting providers
• ISMS (ISO27001 experience desirable)

Knowledge

• Architectural level understanding of key platforms listed above
• A strong background managing data storage lifecycles from active data, archive, and backup
• Scripting languages such as PowerShell
• Strong awareness of both industry-leading and up and coming technology solutions.
• Good understanding of wider dependencies the server and storage platforms place on other technology areas e.g., the network layer

• Highly technically competent combined with a logical and pragmatic approach and strong inter-personal skills
• Excellent problem-solving ability
• Excellent at communicating technical information in both verbal and written forms to both technical and business people
