Job Description

As a Social & Community Manager, you’ll be an expert in social media and responsible for planning and delivering best in class social for one major client. You want to create award-winning work and know that doing this means being all over social trends, being tapped into culture, and knowing all the secrets when it comes to platform functionality. 

Day to day, you'll be working across:

Content planning  Translating social strategies into work that’s interesting, impactful and in line with platform trends. You’ll be collaborating with creative teams to generate social-first ideas.

Implementation – Lead the delivery of content, liaising with internal and external teams to manage the creative development process through briefing, dispatch, and reporting. An understanding of paid social is key, but the ad setups will sit with a media agency. 

Community management  Engaging and building online communities, including crisis management. This will include delivering insights-based reporting on creative performance and audience behaviour to inform ongoing planning.

Content strategy – Supporting social and content strategy development to help develop insightful, substance-led work. This will include deep dives into cultural trends, platform and category audits, and research into different audience and platform behaviours.

 

You'll bring:

  • A basic understanding of paid social performance metrics 
  • Effective at project management, with an ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple project deadlines by making smart, fast decisions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality execution
  • Top-notch communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Hungry to learn and upskill to keep up with evolving trends
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, media agencies/partners and internal teams
  • Proactive and thrives on taking the initiative to drive better results, new thinking, and innovation for our clients
  • Works well both within a team and independently

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of social media experience at either an agency or publisher
  • Proficient knowledge and experience across all social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitch and Reddit
  • Crisis management and managing/growing online social communities
  • Developing and managing content calendars
  • Developing social media reports using 3rd party monitoring and reporting tools (Netbase, Google Data Studio etc.)
