To deliver, support and troubleshoot the Groupe IT platforms whilst working effectively with your colleagues and the wider business within an ITIL framework. Act as an escalation for the support teams both in the UK and internationally. To proactively support the installation, configuration and monitoring of the environment to ensure the platform remains available, stable and optimally maintained, in line with SLA and KPIs.

• Design, install, configure and maintain existing and new infrastructure platforms and any appropriate dependencies to the highest standards possible and in a timely manner
• Work closely with the project teams, ensuring work packages are delivered on time and to a high standard
• Propose technically and commercially sound recommendations to aid the continuous improvement of the environment
• Ensure requests and incidents are managed effectively and within SLA
• Manage multiple tasks, incidents and project work effectively under pressure and within given deadlines
• Ensure documentation is created and accurately maintained following Groupe standards, to ensure it remains relevant and always up to date.
• Undertake any other activities that are reasonably required

Experience/Qualifications/Certifications

• Strong working background gained over several years in enterprise server and storage platforms with the following skills in particular:
• VMware ESX/vCenter (VCP desirable)
• Cloud Platforms (MS Azure, Google and Amazon)
• Server platforms (Windows/Linux)
• Enterprise Storage SAN environments (DellEMC, Netapp and Quantum)
• ISMS (ISO27001 experience desirable)
• Enterprise backup and DR technologies

 Knowledge (R = required, D = Desirable)

• Architectural level understanding of key platforms listed above (R)
• A strong background managing data storage lifecycles from active data, archive and backup (R)
• Scripting languages such as PowerShell (R)
• Experience migrating and managing services in the cloud such as MS Azure and Amazon (R)
• Comfortable interfacing with technology using both the GUI and the command line (R)
• Good understanding of wider dependencies the server and storage platforms place on other technology areas e.g. the network layer (R)
• Video Post-production server and storage infrastructure (D)
• Background supporting media/production businesses using MAMs/DAMs (D)

• Excellent problem-solving ability
• Excellent at communicating technical information in both verbal and written forms to both technical and business people
