Job Description
The Paid Social Associate Director is responsible for leading a team of Paid Social Supervisors for a client or group of brands. In this role, the Associate Director will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and management of paid social strategy and campaigns across assigned brands/clients. They will work closely with the media and platform activation teams to maintain campaign quality, and drive performance against client goals.
The Associate Director will be accountable for ensuring strong vendor partner relationships and communicating platform changes and best practices to clients. They will assist in staffing, revenue projections, Points-of-View and process development.
Key Responsibilities
Knowledge
Strong understanding of the digital landscape
Strong knowledge of all media functions (Paid Search, SEO, programmatic, online and offline Media, technology and analytics)
Extensive knowledge of the role, strengths and weaknesses of a variety of media channels
Expert knowledge of social media landscape and new and evolving product offerings
Strong POV on how audiences leverage social media platforms and how brands can benefit from a strong social presence
Expert-level understanding of Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Table, chart building) and PowerPoint functions
Demonstrates advanced experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics
Mastery of native social buying platforms
Mastery of Facebook Pixel and other technical paid social platform solutions
Proficient project management and time management skills
Advanced understanding of 3rd party social media tools such as Sprinklr, Spreadfast, 4C and vets solutions for clients
Internal: Operations, Tactics and Strategy
Stays on the forefront of paid social product offerings, vets and oversees implementation as appropriate
Oversees test & learn programs in pursuit of clients’ media goals
Responsible for financial documentation and compliance across accounts/brands
Understands and manages scope of work and flags scope creep on assigned accounts
Responsible for strategic approach to Paid Social campaigns
Leads collaboration with media and platform activation teams to establish and evolve client paid social strategy
Leads cross-departmental collaboration by working with team members to craft synergistic plans and reports. Proactively shares learnings across agency capabilities
Coordinates with platform activation teams to connect data and insights
Consistently leads internal discussions in paid social topic areas
Ability to proactively solve problems, improve processes, create efficiencies and contribute to POVs and team thought leadership
Advanced understanding of measurement opportunities, within paid social space as well as cross-channel
Leads cross-agency collaboration and establishes workflow processes with client partner agencies
Looks for synergies and efficiencies with key vendor partners for scaling resources across the team
Coaches and develops Paid Social Supervisor(s) & manages delegation, workflows and timelines
Provides consistent team leadership, driving team education and goals setting in partnership with team VP
Client Relationship
Key point of contact and primary social escalation point for the assigned client(s)
Strong understanding of client category, landscape and competitive factors
Ability to translate and communicate campaign success to clients
Relevant experience in using paid social to successfully solve client objectives

7-10 years biddable paid social media campaign management experience
Experience in managing a team
Facebook Blueprint Certification desired
Healthcare industry knowledge a plus
