    Job Description

    Programmatic Manager is a digital media subject matter expert who is passionate about data and creativity that drives campaign performance. As a Programmatic Manager, you are responsible for the development of strategic programmatic recommendations. Upon approval from the client, the Programmatic Manager will manage a team that creates campaigns across selected Demand Side Platforms. They will also be the primary contact regarding campaign optimizations, adjustments and progression and will be the owner of programmatic communication with clients. The manager is responsible for ensuring the programmatic team provides with best-in-class collaboration across multiple teams – both internal and external. 

    The Programmatic Manager is also responsible for further developing the programmatic team. They will be responsible for analyzing current procedures and developing new ones to create work efficiencies within the team. They will be responsible for making sure that the team meets the overall business goals and objectives. They will be tasked with putting forth partner recommendations to help grow the APEX programmatic business.

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Evaluate the best-in-class opportunities and draw conclusions that are both data and marketing driven from client campaigns.
    • Understand client performance objectives and develop successful segmentation and optimization strategies to exceed client expectations.
    • Interface and collaborate with internal teams and partners to develop a deep understanding of the capabilities and opportunities, including DSPs, DFA, Data providers, etc.
    • Monitor campaign performance, optimize and communicate campaign traction to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Communicate campaign details and objectives as necessary, including KPI expectations. 
    • Provides thought leadership to colleagues, clients and projects.
    • Proactively suggest opportunities to improve processes
    • Oversee and train team on end-to-end campaign management (process, product, tools).
    • Coach, develop and mentor junior team members, while also promoting their professional growth.
    • Maintaining budget trackers to ensure delivery of quarterly and annual goals
    • Take a lead role in recruitment of new staff and make hiring recommendations for the team.
    • Keep up with new and innovative programmatic technology trends; attend partner presentations to further programmatic knowledge. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
    • 5+ years’ experience managing campaigns concept to execution with Demand Side Platforms preferred. 
    • 8+ years of progressive levels of responsibility in media planning, buying and management
    • Demonstrated business acumen and a track record of success in the media services profession
    • Able to establish and manage to P&L statement
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Strong negotiating skills
    • Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills, including people management
    • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
