Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

As a Senior Resource Manager, Analytics and Operations, you will be responsible for supporting the allocation of resources against work and aligning with revenue, responsible for analyzing historical trends in staffing and workflow in order to optimize and develop benchmarks for projected resource plans.

Success for this position is measured by the ability to deliver analyses in a timely fashion that are rich with sound insights and recommendations while maintaining and assuring the accuracy and consistency of data.

The ideal candidate is passionate about working with data, has past experience navigating and aligning large, disparate datasets, is simultaneously detail-oriented and comfortable with uncertainty, and is able to effectively extract and communicate insights in a clear and actionable manner. 

The role is expected to have successful communication skills in order to cultivate and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders. The resource management function is expected to improve resource planning to avoid project delays, lost revenue, low productivity, higher costs and increased employee turnover. You will need to quickly adapt to changing priorities and opportunities to ultimately accelerate business growth. 
 
Roles and Responsibilities include: 
•    Ensure resource data is complete, current and accessible in the scoping/staff planning tools, both internal and client facing
•    Creating efficiencies in annual resource planning process 
•    Reconciling all resource plans and staffing on a monthly basis
•    Providing insights into trending and seasonality
•    Developing benchmarks based on historical activity
•    Projecting future resource allocation based on historical benchmarks and estimated business plans
•    Assisting agency and clients in new staffing software development and implementation
•    Working directly with departmental leads to understand variances in staffing
•    Managing resource scope changes based on adjustments in strategic direction
•    Consolidating and integrating reports across multiple sources
•    Analyzing and reporting on the performance and accuracy of individual departments and business units
•    Communicating insights in presentations to key stakeholders
•    Identifying opportunities to automate analyses and find process improvements and efficiencies
Bringing analytical rigor and precision to all reporting deliverables
•    Assist in tracking all types of work; project work, non-project work, vacation, gigs etc.
•    Candidate will have access to agency staff costs, overheads

•    Proactively facilitate conversations to bring people together when issue is identified noted; guide solution-based thinking
•    Demonstrates strong communication and builds trusted partnerships with each department leader to ensure casting and specialization remain a priority
•    Monitor OOS assignments and determine additional billing
•    Department agnostic; must remain neutral to all parties
•    Help identify, recommend, create, define and implement process improvements for the Resource Management function

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:  
•    Successful track record of administrative support and 4-6 years’ experience in operations, project/resource management and/or staff allocation
•    Strong intellectual and quantitative analysis abilities
•    Superior problem-solving skills and the ability to work across functional areas
•    Able to handle and maintain sensitive and confidential information
•    Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, attentive and knowledgeable about end-to-end project process and resource requirements
•    Must have strong knowledge of Excel
•    Experience in writing and presenting recommendations to client and internal stakeholders
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise client-ready documents
•    Must enjoy working in a fun, fast paced, creative and entrepreneurial environment
•    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
