Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the quantitative teams to understand data requirements.
  • Develop solutions that enable the efficient and reliable extraction of insight from all captured market data.
  • Development and maintain processes that ingest, transform, enrich and store a combination of structured (market data, reference data etc.) and unstructured data (e.g. economic calendars etc.), guaranteeing data quality and availability.
  • Continuously evaluate external data sources to make sure that we have the most accurate data available, backfilling historically when required.
  • Maintain databases that downstream data areas rely on.
  • Participate in product design, implementation, and quality assurance.
  • Recommend improvements to the process both in terms of data collection, data consumption and storage.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in a related field or role
  • Must have a passion for data analytics and a strong understanding of marketing data methodologies, such as ETL, etc.
  • Strong programming skills: Python, Java, C++, and C#
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and modelling relational data
  • Experience of databases (MySQL, Mongo, Influx, kdb. etc.
  • Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud
  • Experience of Linux, Docker a plus
  • Experience of a DevOps environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
