Job Description

This role leads the will lead the Talent function for two of Publicis Groupe’s Creative Agencies. Reporting to the Senior Talent Director of the Publicis Creative, Production and Influence Practice, the Snr Talent Partner will be leading and evolving the team, owning and delivering the talent strategy and operating as a true generalist.

Each agency embraces and prides itself on its own unique specialism and culture. This role supports over 250 motivated, highly talented individuals.

The role will be imbedded in the agencies and will work with Publicis Groupe to utilise their capabilities for the benefit of the agency.

This role has management responsibility for a Talent Advisors and a Talent Operations Assistant.

What You’ll Do:

Business Partnering

  • Lead and direct the team including setting the Talent strategy, operational plans and driving key projects
  • Operate as a trusted advisor and business partner to the leadership teams, deliver a seamless service to the business
  • Develop strong relationships with other Talent leads across Publicis Communications to work on cross agency initiatives eg: training, onboarding, D&I etc.

Employee Relations

  • Promote good employee relations practices within the company and ensure compliance with Groupe Policies and UK and European employment law 
  • Manage complex and high-level employee relation cases, including TUPE in line with our values and show a strong knowledge in this area
  • Coach managers on how to effectively deal with capability and conduct issues and create a culture that is professional without taking away the individuality of the agencies. 

Performance Management

  • Manage the annual performance review process, providing advice and guidance to managers as well as driving the performance, and promotion processes
  • Provide training, coaching and act as a point of contact to the senior team on the annual performance and development review process
  • Working with agency leads to drive and embed a culture of high performance throughout the agencies
  • Conduct talent mapping workshops to identify skills gaps, succession planning and high potentials

Operational ownership

  • Own all areas of compliance within the function including benefits renewals, immigration process and IR35
  • Be the lead on employee engagement surveys for the agencies and action results with the management teams
  • Oversee administrative activities including payroll, benefits and HR systems to ensure full compliance
  • Oversee GDPR for HR function
  • Provide input for RFIs are required
  • Oversee annual corporate social responsibility survey

Reward

  • Manage promotion request process including making recommendations on compensation in line with market rates and data 
  • Lead annual salary review process

Talent Acquisition

  • Work in close partnership Talent Acquisition team at Publicis, and ensure both teams work well cross-functionally and support the wider mission of our ‘one Talent team’ approach
  • Support the Talent Acquisition team with coaching and advising managers on recruitment best practice, selection and interviewing.
  • Own and develop entry-level employee program including apprenticeships

Learning and Development

  • Work with the Creative Practice L&D lead to support development and delivery of learning in the agency
  • Create and embed a L&D strategy that looks to deliver against the agencies ambitions
  • Create a culture of continuous learning by using the 70:20:10 approach
  • Coach managers in relation to having training and career development discussions with their teams   
  • Work with department heads to assess training requirements and create bespoke training programs for their departments to deliver against agency strategic goals
  • Write and Develop Strategic Development plan for annual agency IPA submission

Diversity, Inclusion and Employee Wellbeing

  • Develop the diversity and inclusion strategy and accompanying practices including family friendly and flexible working practices for the agencies
  • Support business resource groups such as VivaWomen!, Egalite and Embrace
  • Review results of agency Diversity and Wellbeing surveys, coming up with appropriate actions in collaboration with senior management of the agency
  • Building on the Groupe UK strategy to develop a Wellbeing strategy and accompanying practices, programs and events including physical, financial, mental and cultural activities for each agency

Qualifications

  • Proven track record at a similar level 
  • Has the gravitas to be able to have Senior Leadership discussions
  • Strong management and people development abilities
  • Results driven and able to work under pressure 
  • Ability to be influential in delivering change
  • Excellent, facilitator, mediator and strong experience of managing employee relations matters through to a successful resolution 
  • Expert knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Flexible and adaptable team player with a supportive attitude towards the team 
  • Superior communication and listening skills and negotiating skills 
  • Excellent organizational and prioritisation
  • Solution focused, with demonstrable ability to resolve situations that are broadly defined, complex, diverse, and occasionally unprecedented 
  • Ability to perform in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Experience of HR systems and reporting
  • CIPD Qualified preferred.
