Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage a team of UX Designers, Production designers, and Content Editors
  • Help to inform staffing decisions, including contributing to the forecasting practice by working closely with Resource Management and Production
  • Connect design strategy to business results
  • Assist in defining the UX vision for Heartbeat’s clients/brands
  • Assist in directing our quantitative and qualitative user research. Craft how we synthesize customer data from multiple sources to identify opportunities and recommend design directions
  • Advance the UX design efforts within the agency which includes product management, sales, and marketing
  • Work cross functionally and help identify user requirements to shape and prioritize feature sets across multiple platforms
  • Create an environment that fosters high quality creative output, and team collaboration
  • Lead projects, create and communicate concepts to clients and team members
  • Foster a collaborative environment
  • Communicate and articulate concept rationales
  • Brainstorm and assist in developing campaigns


To qualify, you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of digital design and UX experience, with 2+ years-experience in managing teams
  • Creative agency experience is strongly desired
  • Pharma and/or healthcare experience is plus. Experience with Veeva CLM platform also a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of design systems and principles of atomic design
  • Mastery of Sketch, working knowledge of Adobe XD, and experience in at least one prototyping tool such as Invision
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Submission of robust portfolio that shows a range of user focused desktop & mobile design solutions
  • Experience contributing to strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution
  • Knowledge of motion graphic and interaction design skills including but not limited to Sketch and Invision
  • In-depth understanding of HTML/dHTML and the capabilities of web browsers
  • Experience with user testing
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience designing cross-platform and device (web/mobile/tablet) experiences
