Role purpose 

This is a one year fixed term maternity contract

As a MBM Digital Director you will the responsibility for a portfolio of clients and the digital product delivered by MBM through strategic council with a focus on clients’ business objectives. You will have 8+ years digital media experience and be comfortable in leading digital and communications strategy, platform and infrastructure recommendations, and solve challenges above and beyond client briefs. You will also future-proof MBM clients as they progress their digital marketing and data capabilities, and manage a team of Digital Managers across the planning, activation management and reporting of digital media campaigns.

Job Description

Business Development

  • Be a client partner in identifying and solving business needs through a digital lens
  • Lead pitch and business development efforts for digitally led opportunities for MBM
  • Lead the digital component of integrated pitches as a critical part of the pitch team
  • Work in conjunction with both senior and junior staff to encourage increased client investment and/or trial of digital activity and/or test scenarios
  • Support the introduction of different MBM products and services to the client base.

Communications Strategy and Planning

  • Lead and develop comms strategy and frameworks, and role for both digital channels and how these integrate into integrated and owned channels
  • Taking a client or internal brief and developing a strategic approach to digital.

Account Management

  • Lead a portfolio of integrated and standalone clients & work with clients to maximise their digital activities
  • Develop proactive discussion papers and initiatives specific to client digital marketing needs
  • Active account management and client liaison at critical meeting stages
  • Engage with clients on 360 reviews.

Team Management

  • Lead a high functioning team of Digital Managers
  • Work alongside and mentor team members to provide structured development
  • Undertake and implement performance reviews and HR management processes.

Finance

  • Own ultimate responsibility for digital component of client profitability
  • Ensure appropriate processes for billing and finance are implemented.

Project Management

  • Identifying and pricing additional requirements
  • Supporting team to include processes that ensure a consistent and integrated MBM experience is delivered across different specialist teams.

Implementation and Reporting

  • Ensuring appropriate team processes are in place to support effective campaign implementation, management and delivery
  • Work with team to develop reporting that is insightful and effective.
