Role Overview

We are currently on the lookout for a star Finance Assistant to join our team on a fixed term contract until end of 2022, with potential to extend. Reporting into the Finance Manager and Director, this person is required to perform many varied tasks both accurately and in a timely manner to maintain smooth workflow of (all media) agency payables and inter-company transactions. You will have access to private and confidential information; such information must be kept in the strictest confidence at all times. The following responsibilities cover various specific deliverables of day to day, month end and reporting tasks that will need to be performed. This list is not exhaustive and additional projects or tasks may be requested by mutual agreement.

 

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Month end closing and reporting
  • Assisting in managing rolling forecast, commit and HFM input
  • Managing inter-company (IC) reconciliation and recharges
  • Maintaining systems including POs, jobs, clients, vendors and, timesheets
  • Liaising with system support team for any setup or conversion issues
  • Assisting in CSR, CPR and FBT
  • Assisting in auditing
  • Processing and approving staff expense claims, answering expense related queries in line with Agency Policy documents, and making sure that staff expense claims are paid in a timely manner
  • Answering any queries raised by Media staff
  • Ad Hoc finance tasks as required
  • Actively develop and maintain strong working relationships with all personnel both at an interpersonal level and across all business processes within the wider business environment
  • Actively maintain communication and behaviour standards that foster a culture of strong financial services

 

Key Competencies

Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role with an accounting degree or certificate
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly skills in Excel, and an understanding of SAP (full training will be provided on the job)
  • Strong financial & commercial acumen
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills (essential)
