Job Description

We’re searching for a Vice President, User Experience who has a fresh viewpoint and a knack for transforming concepts into cutting-edge visual solutions. We’re looking for a proven leader that is passionate about great user experiences; jaw dropping design and unconventional thinking.

Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage a team of UX Designers and UX Strategists
  • Work with account partners, strategists and/or clients to interpret or help shape creative briefs 
  • Developing design concepts and solutions based on creative briefs and clients’ business strategies 
  • Leveraging existing consumer insights or request necessary analysis to understand the value drivers for the consumer.  
  • Defining interactive experiences that are useful to users and promote our client’s businesses  
  • Identify key ideas to drive projects and how to implement them across multiple channels  
  • Delivering these concepts in the form of information architecture, user journeys, wireframes, flows, prototypes (low and high fidelity)  
  • Assist in directing our quantitative and qualitative user research. Craft how we synthesize customer data from multiple sources to identify opportunities and recommend design directions
  • Advance the UX design efforts within the agency which includes product management, sales, and marketing
  • Presenting various aspects of the user experience to development teams and clients  
  • Tracking and monitoring progress on development and quality of the experience 
  • Committing to evolving the creative practice and bringing in outside inspiration whenever possible
  • Work cross functionally and help identify user requirements to shape and prioritize feature sets across multiple platforms
  • Create an environment that fosters high quality creative output, and team collaboration
  • Embrace both user testing and A/B testing as methodologies to understand what design and interactions best work toward acquiring more members and retaining them
  • Lead projects, create and communicate concepts to clients and team members
  • Foster a collaborative environment
  • Communicate and articulate concept rationales
  • Brainstorm and assist in developing campaigns

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of mobile design and UX experience in a design practice/digital agency/ad agency, with 5+ years-experience in managing teams
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of digital design and execution
  • Experience with strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution
  • Expert proficiency with UI tools for design, presentation and prototyping including Figma, Sketch, the Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, and PowerPoint
  • Submission of robust portfolio that shows a range of user focused desktop & mobile design solutions
  • Knowledge of motion graphic and interaction design skills including but not limited to Sketch and Invision
  • In-depth understanding of HTML/dHTML and the capabilities of web browsers
  • Candidate must be open to travel as needed
  • Experience with user testing and A/B testing
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong command of agile development processes and rituals
  • Experience with various platforms (web/mobile/tablet)
