Role Purpose

Support client digital relationships by contributing to and executing the digital
media strategy. Responsible for planning and buying effective campaigns on
behalf of Spark Foundry clients, whilst actively overseeing digital
implementation.

 

Key Outputs

Business Development

  • Work in conjunction with Spark Foundry Partners and/or Business Directors to encourage increased client investment and/or trial of digital activity and/or test scenarios.
  • Work with Digital Director to correctly manage scope and identify opportunities for incremental revenue pricing these accordingly.
  • Support (and occasionally lead) business development projects e.g. pitch work.

Account Management

  • Work with clients to maximise their digital activities.
  • Manage client accounts through regular WIP attendance, contact reports and opportunity identification.
  • Communicate and update client on campaign implementation, in market and post campaign actions.

Project Management

  • Manage internal and external communications including briefing, amendments and resolving issues.
  • With supporting ADM oversee the input of internal specialists, both delivery
    partners (platforms team, implementation team) as well as specialist teams
    (SEO, Analytics, Content)
  • With supporting ADM work with external suppliers to negotiate buy and
    ensure seamless campaign delivery.
  • Oversee the supporting ADM on thoroughly briefing internal specialist teams’ and counterparts on campaigns so that all buying and trafficking is completed
    in a timely and detail oriented fashion.

Digital Strategy

  • Take client or internal briefs and develop a strategic approach and supporting digital plan, with Digital Directors support on framework, measurement plan and audience strategy.
  • Source with ADM assistance target audience information and insights to help develop the media strategy and plan.
  • Finalise the strategy and implementation plan; present this and the campaign rationale to the client.

Media Planning

  • Identify appropriate media partners, sites and/or platforms to use.
  • Support where appropriate the ADM in liaising with creative partners and contributing to creative material development.
  • Deliver an in depth understanding of digital tools and platform opportunities to set robust measurement and targeting options.

Media Buying

  • Negotiating placements and rates for chosen direct buy partnerships.
  • On approval of the plan, with support of ADM manage purchase of contract media with publishers, ensuring all insertion orders are consistent with the approved plan.
  • Oversee all buy changes and optimisations and ensure these are communicated with internal Specialist Teams once approved by client and schedule updates.
  • Manage billing and reconciliations with supporting ADM and business team oversight.

Implementation and Reporting

  • Oversee the campaign and platform implementation, taking accountability for buying application of the audience strategy.
  • Clearly brief internal specialist teams and external partners on campaign changes as required by the client.
  • Use data supplied by implementation teams to create insightful campaign performance reports (both interim and final) to be presented internally and to clients.
  • Identify insights from results to share with client and inform future campaign planning.

Finance and Admin

  • Maintain accurate timesheet records.
  • Ensure all buy changes and optimisations are carried through to any necessary client approvals and schedule updates approved through Hello Sign.
  • Support where appropriate the ADM in managing all digital media billing including direct media buys, self serve media buys, adserving and fees using the Spark Foundry billing system (Pegasus).
  • Forecast adserving and fee based activity accurately.
  • Take ownership of any invoice queries and resolving these quickly and efficiently.

Other

  • Monitor, identify and share wider trends in digital media that Spark Foundry can leverage.
  • Contribute to agency culture through positive teamwork and energy.
  • Inspiring and nurturing our staff and clients.

 

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years industry experience
  • DV360, Google AdWords and Google Analytics certified (and/or experienced and willing to become certified).
