Job Description

Position Summary:  Supervises all aspects of account, including client-agency relationship, internal agency relationships and profitability.

General and Daily Responsibilities:

·       Manages account workload, including dividing up responsibilities between team members and knowing when to request upper management input and presence

·       Builds a strong, cohesive team that is knowledgeable about the client, its products/services and programs

·       Leads a group that produces work consistent with company standards, I.e., excellent creative that is on target strategically and is delivered in time and on budget – manages client expectations

·       Apply all aspects of DM discipline as appropriate to client business, including  program planning, creative development strategies, metrics, database marketing, segmentation, research/segmentation, program management, analytics and targeting

·       Writes marketing/creative strategy, tactical, project and data plans for clients

·       Organizes and leads strategic recommendations and creative concepts

·       Manages client/agency meetings

·       Understands the client’s product, market and industry well enough to debate strategic issues

·       Understands the principles, application and effectiveness of direct & digital marketing, automotive marketing, CRM, and/or data-driven marketing

·       Instills a disciplined approach in flawless execution, ensuring all details are thought through.

·       Develops strategic recommendations and creative concepts to be presented to clients

·       Monitor and manage the agencies profitability while keeping within & managing the client’s budget

·       Leads/oversees monthly billing for the team

·       Forecasting gross income, managing costs, and maximizing profitability

·       Creates and maintains healthy working relationships with internal Account Teams as well as client contacts

·       Creatively and proactively provide solutions to client business issues and challenges

·       Writes account plans for strategic insights and direction-setting on yearly basis

·       At times, lead the development of new concept ideas that enhance Epsilon’s ongoing business efforts with the client and demonstrate the ability to sell in these concepts to the client

·       Competitive review – continually evaluate market conditions and provide client with agency POV on how to address

·       Weekly client status calls – kick off/host meeting, participate in covering action items, outstanding topics including creative, branding, testing, results, segmentation, objectives, future planning sessions, etc. 

Minimum Qualifications & Skills Required:

·       Comprehensive knowledge of direct marketing

·       Automotive Marketing experience preferred

·       Digital Marketing experience a plus

·       At least 4-7 years relevant agency side experience (strategic/target/direct marketing experience or other related disciplines) or

·       4-7 years relevant client experience in direct marketing or other related disciplines

·       Four year college degree

·       Ability to work autonomously and in a fast-paced environment

·       The ability to interface and communicate with the client

·       The ability to meet or exceed client expectations in the area of account management

·       Should have high standards, a strong work ethic and be able to function autonomously, while retaining team membership and spirit.

·       PC proficient, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite but especially skilled in Excel and PowerPoint

·       Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

·       Impeccable attention to detail, follow-through and ability to multi-task efficiently and accurately

·       Ability to solve practical problems, applying analytical reasoning

·       Ability to work well under pressure
