Job Description

This role is split 50/50 between two very different clients, but this therefore means an exciting mix of challenges and planning briefs that require different thinking. The work itself will be rewarding in the respect of allowing the candidate to be exposed to most of what Zenith offers to it clients – planning, strategy, insights/analytics and partnerships/sponsorship to name but a few areas.

This is one of those clients that offers great variety. Working with an annual media budget of £8-10m we plan across TV/VOD, Radio, Partnerships and Digital. But we do more than just their media planning, we also run their brand tracking through our Insights team as well other ad hoc research projects. And the nature of the work is exciting as Carpetright have just launched a new positioning in market that they are hoping can position them as experts across all areas of flooring, and help them move away from just being known for selling carpets. The task for Zenith therefore is to help land that message but also bring it to life through interesting media activation.


The second account, Nespresso, has budgets of £10m per year, and works across both offline and online media in the FMCG category. This account is part of a global client network, although this role is only for the UK. We are responsible for planning across all their media, and ensuring best practice to maximise their results and efficiency. We regularly use channels such as TV & VOD, Radio, Podcasts, Partnerships, and Display + Social, and ensure media innovation – often through robust test and learns / media opportunities. The account is future facing with aims to become carbon neutral, and continued growth for next year.

The role

  • Support Planning Directors to deliver outstanding work every time
  • Ensure you and Execs on the team deliver operational excellence
  • Be the lead for smaller responses to client briefs
  • Look for proactive media opportunities to share with your client

The Clients 

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with key, day-to-day clients
  • Deliver and set example to Execs of immaculate client service (ICS)
  • Ensure ICS is delivered by your direct reports
  • Be proactive in day-to-day client management
  • Understand client’s business and identify and share category news

The Commercial

  • Understand how we make money, be aware of growth opportunities
  • Support Planning Directors to deliver win:win opportunities for the agency and client
  • Ensure absolute financial accuracy and PO management

Qualifications

  • Experience in a planning role previously
  • Client and project management experience
  • Leadership/ ready to manage an AE
