Job Description

The key responsibilities within this role will be to manage the day-to-day activity for the client and team. You should have the ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure.

Competencies/Main Tasks:

A) Knowledge

  • Strong grasp of & ability to develop channel specific strategies
  • A thorough knowledge of the media marketplace and opportunities available and build constructive relationships with key media owners where relevant
  • Build and maintain media knowledge of the market, consumer and media research available

B) Skills:

  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Begin to develop people skills set in terms of managing a team
  • Carry out strategic communication planning

C) Product:

  • Lead and develop strategy and planning capabilities to deliver a complete 360 proposition
  • Deliver best-in-class customer journey planning and acquisition discipline to reach or exceed growth targets and performance metrics
  • Influence and help shape how the campaigns perform across all digital performance media and products in different markets & areas
  • To ensure smooth integration of work with other regional markets, as required
  • To undertake additional projects beyond client responsibilities as requested, e.g. help on new business

D) People:

  • Lead and inspire the team, driving standards to achieve the highest level of excellence
  • Establish and recommend training needs within the team
  • To facilitate growth of executives by providing them ample learning opportunities
  • A good rapport with colleagues across all divisions/regional markets, clients, other agencies and media owners

E) Operations:

  • To oversee all output from the executives/admin to ensure accuracy, especially with regards to monthly detailed plans
  • To work closely with higher management to develop each of part of the planning process and help sell it to the client
  • To ensure all periodical reports are delivered on time
  • To ensure efficiency, proactive and take ownership of work
  • An innovative approach: in use of media, exploration of new forms of communication, research, presentation techniques, etc
  • Conduct regular presentations to clients keeping them informed of all relevant media trends and development

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who can come in and immediately make an impact. This person should exude confidence and display a desire to learn. Whilst the successful candidate will be well supported, we would be ideally looking for someone who can ‘hit the ground running’.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:

  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field

In addition, we are looking for someone who has:

  • An impressive understanding of the digital environment – you know this world by heart and you keep pulse with the rapid changes happening within it – and a clear understanding of the media planning and buying process

  • Exceptional communication skills – you’re skilled at interpreting client objectives and clearly articulating proposed media strategies and recommendations

  • A strong, proven ability to teach analytic skills to team members, developing, encouraging and inspiring them to grow

  • Creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
