Job Description

Razorfish Toronto is seeking a Designer who can help us apply design thinking for one of today’s top automotive clients in our Toronto office. We want a strong designer with motivation to create digital experiences for two of the world’s most loved brands: Jeep® and Dodge®. The candidate will have experience creating engaging interactive designs and contribute to the design and delivery of campaign and vehicle pages on a responsive site platform. The role includes conceptual and production design as well as evolving our branded design system.

You will put your obsession for detail and execution to the test while working with fellow Designers, Art Directors, copywriters and other members of the creative and authoring team to help bring to life premium digital content and designs for some of today’s top brands.

The day-to-day: Design web pages, select and retouch artwork, visually QA web pages, design to component library, edit video, and cut assets. 

Responsibilities:

  • Absorb, adapt and convey brand aesthetic
  • Develop high quality visual assets in Photoshop
  • Develop innovative layouts from an existing AEM component library
  • Collaborate with Art Directors and the larger project team to explore concepts and iterate on layouts for a responsive site
  • Create original designs based on existing templates, adhering to design principles and brand guidelines in established layouts and form factors
  • Digitally focused design portfolio with current work samples
  • Experience working with scalable design systems
  • Collaboration with Art Directors, Copywriters, Content Authors
  • Able to iterate in a fast-paced environment
  • Communication and presentation skills: articulate and present thoughts, creative and innovative ideas
  • Accepts and provides constructive feedback
  • Own the work and manage time appropriately to meet established deadlines
  • Responsible for executing solid interactive designs that innovate, answer the brief and delight our clients

 

  • BONUS: auto industry experience, motion graphics, AA+ web standards, AEM component knowledge

 

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of real-world design experience with a strong digitally focused portfolio
  • Proficiency in the formal elements of design for website, including typography, layout, balance, proportion, rhythm, emphasis, and unity
  • Ability to create original designs based on wireframes/sketches
  • Ability to articulate ideas and be clearly understood by creative, project management, and development staff, both in verbal and in written format
