Job Description

Leo Burnett is seeking a VP Account Director to serve as the day-to-day client lead across integrated marketing projects for one of our leading mobile network operator brands in our Chicago office. They will be driving a collection of the top talent across Publicis Groupe agencies to create some of the best creative work in the world. This role is an officer at Leo Burnett within the Business Leadership group, responsible for profitability of agency business and success of client efforts. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Creative Excellence - inspires creative teams to the best work in the industry, proactively identifying opportunities with clients and overseeing the development of briefs and creative work

·      Integration - ensures programs are executed in a consistent way across broadcast, digital, social, brand content, etc. Communicates account’s objectives and strategies to team members and the role they play in achieving them.

·      Client Relationship - a go-to resource for clients across multiple projects being executed across multiple Groupe agency brands

·      Agency Relationship - provides regular updates to Groupe and non-Groupe agency partners, tapping into relevant skills from across the clients’ agency roster

·      Business Development - accountability for sizing, scoping and selling incremental client business for the Groupe

·      Financial Leadership - assists in setting the direction for the account by leading creation of strategic and tactical business plans that outline how the team will achieve its financial objectives

Qualifications

Required Hard Skills:

Client service/account management, digital/social media acumen, high-level awareness of channel best practices, understanding of creative process/production, campaign delivery, and presentation creation/delivery

Required Soft Skills:

Global curiosity, including an interest in working and engaging with partners in other countries, collaborative, resilient, flexible, positive, brave, articulate and energetic

Best Candidates:

  • A creative-leaning agency professional at an award-winning integrated agency that can demonstrate examples of strong work, including outside of broadcast
  • Great creative instincts and passion for helping develop / sell award winning creative work
  • 8-12+ years’ experience in marketing or communications recommended
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience leading complex, multi-agency collaboration
  • Confidence to lead teams and represent the agency
  • Fosters effective teamwork and strong relationships
  • Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and consistently adds value
  • Commands and fosters an environment of respect and trust
