Job Description

the community is seeking a Creative Resource Manager to join their team and manage resources within the Creative Design Studio. Our Creative Resource Manager will play an integral part in delegating tasks to our Designers, project manage, and work with a variety of brand. We look for someone who will motivate their team to on time delivery including diving in to help. This role will begin working remote from the comfort of your own home (in the US) and can remain remote within the US or end up in our Miami, SF or NYC office for a hybrid work environment when the world returns to normal (or some version of it).  

The role is responsible for providing overall leadership for the daily operations of the Creative Design Studio. This includes managing designers time, discussing delegating projects with Head of Art and Design, and managing communication to team leads out of the studio for turn around times. Our studio’s project range throughout integrated assets including Print, OOH, Digital, Social, Emails, and Presentations.  

Management Responsibilities: 

  • Work to resolve any issues regarding under or over allocations of current staff members

  • If there is not a CPM , RM Schedules all creative meetings and works with the creative teams to monitor schedules and project needs.

  • Work with the brand department Keeping project status reports up to date

  • Drive projects to final stages of completion by keeping the team both on track and highly motivated.

  • Manage Executive Creative Directors’ schedule (not the agenda but the priorities in the agenda) 

  • Run weekly resource meeting and facilitate resourcing issues / conflict resolution with appropriate department heads/department teams (stand-ups meetings)

  • Manage communication around shifting priorities with Creative Services Director and Brand leads

  • Understands skill sets, experiences, training opportunities, and interests of resources to provide thoughtful staffing recommendations

  • Develops recommendations and strategies, in conjunction with department leads, to utilize bench resources (e.g. internal initiatives)

  • Advocates for teams and team members while managing the needs and expectations of the different parts involved in projects

  • Builds strong relationships with department leads to help manage supply and demand for resources across their teams

Qualifications

  • 7+ years Studio Management + Design Experience with a minimum of 3+ years in a Manager position.
  • Experience within a Creative Advertising Agency. 
  • Expert Knowledge in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Presentation Design skills in PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides.
  • Experience in Basecamp or other Project Management softwares a plus. 
  • Seasoned experience managing multiple concurrent projects and tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and driving creative criteria. 
  • Fluent written and oral communication skills in English. 
  •  Spanish language skills a plus but not required.
  • Skills in AfterEffects & HTML5 are a nice addition.
