Job Description

We are looking for someone who can come in and immediately make an impact. This person should exude confidence and be able to motivate, educate and aid the development of more junior resource. Whilst the successful candidate will be well supported, it is expected that they should be able to ‘hit the ground running’, and for the most part be able to manage their team autonomously.

At an Associate Director level, you will ideally have had valuable exposure to both brand and DR/performance approaches. For this specific role, programmatic background is essential however, those candidates with valuable print / publisher experience is an added benefit.

This vacancy is an opportunity to join the Disney Display Investment team, which is responsible for planning and buying both Digital Display and Print Media. The overall Investment team is comprised of 13 individuals with diverse skills and expertise across the media and technology landscape. Display Investment works in close collaboration with Media Planners, and the AV Investment team to help design integrated solutions to Disney’s communication challenges.

This role of the Associate Director will be to lead Disney’s Display and Print media activity planning and overseeing a campaign from brief to activation and review. Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure your team delivers outstanding work every time
  • Ensure your team are negotiating prices/value, and tracking delivery against Disney price/ quality/ audit targets
  • Go above and beyond commercially for your Disney, securing bespoke deals (where relevant) outside of the Publicis trade deals to demonstrate additional value
  • Work closely with the Digital Hub team who are responsible for all the programmatic trading across Disney.
  • Establish yourself as a key go to Display contact for Disney
  • Ensure your team builds client relationships to help enhance TRR scores
  • Manage a team of up to 2x Display Investment Managers and 2 x Display Investment SAE & 2 x Investment Execs
  • Manage the output of your team, ensuring they deliver best in class quality while adhering to all deadlines
  • Support your team and ensure they are working towards their individual objectives
  • Build on Publicis Imagines’ reputation, positive relationships with media owners and partner agencies
  • Ensure finance protocol is adhered across your team, including, reconciliations and finance queries  
  • Coordinate award entry submissions

Qualifications

  • Strong experience within a display/programmatic department.  Experience in the entertainment sector would be advantageous.
  • Have excellent team/department management skills team
  • Have excellent client management skills
  • Have excellent knowledge into the programmatic ecosystem, including an understanding into the different major DSPs (DV360, Amazon, TTD)
  • Have a strong understanding into the print marketplace
  • Have strong communication and presentation skills
  • Have high levels of experience in managing client/display finance processes, i.e. tracking display billings, understanding the full reconciliation process
  • Have experience of managing client audits/guarantees
