Job Description

As The Finance Director you will work closely with Agency Leadership including the Group CFO, Group Managing Director, Managing Partners and the Senior Leadership Teams to drive long-term success and strong strategic leadership creating improved business performance. This role is an amazing opportunity to lead and grow the Finance team at Langland.

  • You will have overall responsibility for financial planning, forecasting, client management and reporting. As well as this you will be responsible for maintaining a strong internal control environment across all financial operations of the BU.
  • The Finance Director reports directly to the Group CFO and has a functional relationship to the Group Managing Director.  The Finance Director must be able to set appropriate priorities, organise a team for maximum efficiency and effectiveness, communicate well with senior and executive management, peers, business partners, subordinates and clients, and have a high level of technical aptitude and business sense.
  • You’ll manage, coach and develop the Langland Commercial team and the Management Accounts team People Managers, supporting them in the management and success of their team’s performance and well-being.
  • You will business partner with Senior Leadership to ensure that the organisation efficiently and effectively delivers on its financial objectives.
  • You will manage the annual business plan, taking into account business initiatives and financial targets.
  • Lead and negotiate commercial and contractual terms with clients and procurement teams and work closely with the Account team and Legal team when doing this

Qualifications

  • You will be fully ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified with significant and demonstrable post qualification experience, in a similar level of role, ideally working within a marketing / advertising / creative agency or similar industry
  • You’ll have significant experience managing an accounting/finance department
  • You’ll have excellent analytical skills, a passion for metrics and figures, with the ability to get into the details while also seeing and understanding the big picture
  • You’ll be engaging and have the ability to develop internal relationships quickly whilst acting as a business partner to the C-Suite level
  • You have experience and are confident in working on client and vendor contracts and negotiating the terms needed
