Job Description

We are looking to add a Freelance Content Strategist to the Razorfish team to work on a large technology client. You will be responsible for: 

  • Providing high-level content strategy and recommendations to achieve client goals and user needs
  • Defining website content topics, hierarchy, taxonomy and tagging 
  • Creating or reviewing site structure and nomenclature for the most intuitive presentation of content 
  • Performing research to identify audience trends, needs and behaviors
  • Developing content direction to inform creative ideation based on business and audience needs
  • Producing creative briefs to inform content creation
  • Mapping Consumer Experience Journey content paths 
  • Developing content strategy, content plans and POVs for content marketing including branded content and blogs
  • Creating and/or maintaining editorial calendars to align site releases with product launches, seasonal promotions, and more  
  • Developing optimization plans based on performance insights
  • Performing content audits and competitive assessments
  • Generating or maintaining content matrices of site content and related assets
  • Creating content strategy playbooks and governance guidelines
  • Helping maintain editorial standards and accuracy/quality of content 
  • Developing personalization plans for intelligent content solutions 
  • Developing plans and documentation for content migration 

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years’ experience in digital content strategy, some in an agency/consulting environment
  • Client-facing presentation experience
  • Experience working with UX, creative and strategy teams to develop best-in-class content strategy
  • Experience working on B2C and B2B e-commerce and branded content preferred
  • Excellent Powerpoint, Excel, Word, editing, presentation and proofreading skills
  • Experience supervising junior level content strategists
  • Preferably experience creating branded content, ideally with a technology brand
  • Interest or experience working in Sustainability or CSR content
