Job Description
. Works in 24 x7 environment.
· First point of contact for any security related events/incidents.
· Investigates, analyzes, and responds to security events/incidents within the network environment or enclave.
· Coordinate and provide technical support to enterprise-wide cybersecurity defense technicians to resolve security incidents.
· Correlate data from various sources to identify security issues which can be used for faster remediation
· Perform analysis of log files from a variety of sources to identify possible threats to Epsilon’s environment.
· Perform security incident triage, to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact
· Collaborate with other teams and escalate on time for faster remediation
· Perform security events trend analysis and reporting.
· Perform real-time security incident handling (e.g., forensic collections, intrusion correlation and tracking, threat analysis, and direct system remediation) tasks to support deployable Incident Response Teams (IRTs).
· Accountable for end to end event/incident management
· Track and document security incidents from initial detection through final resolution.
· Serve as technical expert and liaison to law enforcement personnel and explain incident details as required.
· Write and publish reports of an investigation.
· Monitor external data sources (e.g., cyber defense vendor sites, Computer Emergency Response Teams, Security Focus) to maintain currency of cyber security threat condition and determine which security issues may have an impact on the enterprise.
· Coordinate incident response functions.
