Job Description

The Finance Coordinator (“FC”) reports to the Sr. Finance Manager and supports the regional Business Financial Insights (“BFI”) hub while partnering with various business units (“BU”) within the Publicis Health network.  This role will assist the Senior Finance Manager by helping all BUs to report financial information accurately and timely, along with meaningful analyses. The FC will interact with diverse internal Department Heads (HQ management, agencies) and external constituents (Shared Service Center, Groupe and Corporate, etc.) The FC will have a basic understanding of Groupe (Janus) and Agencies’ policies as well as Agencies’ operations. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·       Balance Sheet account analysis

·       Preparation of monthly Financial Monitoring Controls (“FMC”)

·       Analysis, resolve, and report Intercompany Mismatches

·       Prepare and upload journal entries

·       Back-up for:

o   Accounts Payable (PO preparation, new vendor setup, urgent payments, vendor payment confirmation, etc.)

o   Job opening/closing

o   Expense report approval

·       Prepare complete, reliable, accurate, and properly formatted information for supervisor review

·       Identify and investigate gaps in financial information

·       Thorough knowledge of the agency’s policies and procedures and ability to communicate those policies

·       Explain and translate financial reports/documents to team members

·       Prioritize and streamline tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiencies

·       Develop relationships with peers at sister agencies to influence productive and accurate financial reporting

·       Use judgment to determine when elevation of issues/requests is needed and when to resolve independently

·       Refine influence and persuasive skills to become a trusted partner

 

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business

·       Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a Finance or Accounting position (internships accepted as experience)

·       Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, sumif, vlookup, etc.) and basic proficiency of other MS Office programs are required

·       Experience using financial reporting systems such as SAP or comparable financial ERP system

·       Understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, account and variance analyses, forecasting, etc.)

·       Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and is highly attuned to near flawless work and execution

·       Possesses interpersonal skills necessary to build strong partnerships with the hub’s and agencies’ finance teams

·       Effectively communicates with all levels, and has strong time management and organizational skills

·       Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask

·       Holds a high level of integrity and trust and ability to maintain confidentiality

·       Problem solver and requires little direction and meets ongoing deadlines

·       Demonstrates initiative, responsibility, and follow through for “owned” work

·       Accountability, flexibility, and ability to meet tight month end close deadlines

·       Ability to work in a fast paced environment

·       Maintain positive team player attitude
