Job Description

Work directly with the attorneys and agency teams from various departments, including creative and media, to manage legal services and ensure proper terms and conditions are in place. Assist in-house attorneys with review, drafting and management of basic contracts and advertising content.  

Qualifications

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assist attorneys in the review and negotiation of basic legal agreements (e.g. confidentiality agreements, license agreements, vendor agreements, etc.).
  • Review advertising and promotional materials for clearance and legal issues and assist in resolution of issues.  
  • Work with attorneys to assist agency teams in securing licenses for intellectual property rights.
  • Maintain and organize contracts and general department files.
  • Manage clearance and licensing timelines. 
  • Draft and circulate contract summaries and assist in managing contracts.
  • Assist with litigation matters and legal department projects.
  • Seek opportunities to continuously improve processes.
  • Manage all inquiries with highest degree of professionalism, urgency  and customer service orientation

Requirements:

  • College Degree, with a minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • Excellent reading and comprehension ability, with superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with an analytical mind.
  • Self-starter, capable of managing a variety of projects simultaneously, yet flexible in meeting/handling multiple and changing priorities.
  • A real “team player.”
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Prior experience in contract administration and the advertising industry generally helpful.
  • Experience in digital media helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
