Job Description

Razorfish is hiring a Copywriter with a blend of practical/site-focused and conceptual creative/campaign-style experience to join our team in either NYC or Austin! We are open to either direct hire OR contract-to-hire for this role.

About You:

You love to collaborate with members of the creative team to conceive, articulate, and create concepts. You're also known to successfully balance creative thinking with interpersonal skills, which is demonstrated in your ability to sell big ideas. In addition to big ideas, you know how to extend messaging through the line to all aspects of a digital marketing ecosystem. On top of that, you are a master at developing in-depth content for landing pages, microsites and online experiences.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with creative team to help determine conceptual campaign direction
  • Translate creative direction into engaging and effective copy concepts
  • Develop in-depth content for online experiences and digital campaigns
  • Determine the tone, style, structure and voice of client’s brand
  • Write catchy headlines and engaging, effective content for microsites, landing pages, banner ads, social campaigns, and other digital channels
  • Understand business objectives and audience demographics
  • Present copy and creative concepts to client

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in English, journalism, or communications preferred; graduation from an advertising/portfolio school or professional work experience can be substituted
  • 4-6 years experience as a copywriter in a creative in-house or agency environment
  • Prior experience concepting and developing marketing campaigns with a specific focus on digital channels and assets including taglines, banners, microsites, landing pages, social, web content, product copy, blog posts, etc.
  • Prior experience focusing on shorter-form digital copy; this role will NOT be creating longer-form, journalistic style deliverables (articles, white papers, etc.)
  • Prior experience developing content and copy for website, microsites, landing pages, mobile apps, and other online experiences.
  • Outstanding writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles
  • Strong understanding of UX principles and how they relate to copy
  • Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to brainstorm, develop, and execute campaigns
  • Acute attention to detail and an ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Knowledge and understanding of ADA and accessibility guidelines and requirements
