LONG-FORM CONFORM ARTIST

Leading feature film, television, and commercial production and post-production facility is seeking an experience Long-form Conform Artist for its Santa Monica office.  The Long-form Conform Artist position requires in-depth knowledge of various software platforms including but not limited to Baselight, DaVinci Resolve & Autodesk Flame.  An ideal candidate will have familiarity with motion picture camera formats, resolutions, frame-rates and codecs.  He/she will be responsible for conforming sequences for color sessions with original camera footage, VFX, and graphic elements based on client-supplied turnover materials (Avid bins, Premiere projects, etc.).  This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a thorough understanding of the post-production process, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues alike.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·      Conform sequences for color correct sessions

·      Perform advanced opticals & clean up

·      Composite titles

·      Render sequences and create various deliverables according to specifications provided by project manager

·      Perform quality control on conformed sequences, session outputs, and deliverables

·      Communicate project developments, issues, and timeframes with project manager

·      Other related duties, as required and assigned by the management team

Required qualifications and background:

·      3-5+ years of experience in a post-production environment and equivalent role

·      Advanced knowledge of Baselight, DaVinci Resolve, Autodesk Flame

·      Feature film and television workflow experience

·      Knowledge of post-production workflows

·      Basic visual effect capabilities (dynamic speed changes, repositions, clean up, titling etc.)

·      Understanding of digital compression and conversion techniques

·      Understanding of professional audio/video standards

·      Mac, Windows, and Linux OS proficiency

·      Microsoft Office suite proficiency
