Publicis Production Solutions Group. We are based in Chicago, with additional offices in Paris, Costa Rica, Mauritius and Colombia. We provide web-based tools including digital asset management, digital workflow with online review and approval, as well as automated publishing.

Technical Operation Engineer
As a member of our Technical Operations team, you will be working to ensure the availability and the reliability of our hosting environment.
You will be in charge of configuring new servers and related software and service, monitoring the platform to ensure availability to clients and to resolve system issues.
You will also participate to software deploys but also be involve in troubleshooting productions issues when needed.

Responsibilities:

This position involves but is not limited to the following tasks:

• Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software
• Ensuring infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during
• production hours.
• Monitor various hosting environments
• Carry out production deployments
• Participating in troubleshooting critical production issues across platforms and
• applications when escalated by Client Support
• Interacting with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for
• continuous improvement of IT solutions.
• Oversee data backup and system security operations
• Maintain and optimize local company networks and servers
• Maintaining or creating policies, procedures, and processes.
• Identifying root-causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.

Key requirements:

• Windows and Linux and/or Mac OS Operating Systems skills
• Experience configuring, managing and/or troubleshooting AWS Cloud and VMware
• environments
• Experience in Networking (Deploying and troubleshooting LAN, VPN, Firewalls, etc.)
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services
• Experience with some aspect(s) of computer security: network security, application security,
• security protocols, cryptography, etc...
• AWS experience with production workloads
• Experience with Configuration Management Software.
• Experience with IAM, Active Directory and ADFS
• Scripting and / or programming experience
• Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision
• Attention to detail and well organized
• Good problem analysis and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision
• Experience in a DevOps team would be a plus

Qualifications:

• This position requires at a minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a systems administration, engineering or operations
• 2+ years IT experience with client, server, and network service delivery
• 2+ years or experience with networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and
• TCP/IP
• 2+ years of experience of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment
• Must have one of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA,
• Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry relevant
• certifications
