Job Description

Department Summary

The Digitas Media Team delivers media services to clients across Display, Programmatic, Paid Social, Paid Search, SEO and Affiliates across teams in Edinburgh and London. The team works with a broad range of clients varying from retail to travel and B2B. Our mission is to create wonderful digital experiences by connecting media with data, technology and creative to win in the moments that count.

Role Summary

This role sits within the Marriott EMEA team who are responsible for centralised planning and activation across all EMEA markets. Marriott are a global Publicis Groupe client which ensures that it is a high priority for our business. Creative development also sits within the Groupe providing integration and opportunities for innovation. We have a very strong relationship with our Marriott clients, their offices are close to ours from where we regularly hotdesk.

While integration is our mantra, the media campaigns can be broadly split between reach and performance with this role sitting on the performance side of the account. Client facing, the Manager will be responsible for deliverables and communications across media planning and activation providing accurate, innovative outputs to brief and to deadline. The Manager will lead the activation planning on performance campaigns through to client review and approval. They will also lead the assessment of campaign performance across all channels, delivering key insights and making actionable optimisation recommendations. The role is supported by the team of Marriott specialists across search, social, offline and programmatic who deliver channel planning.

The candidate should have a good understanding of the various digital platforms, particularly display, and the performance activation and optimisation opportunities across them. They will be expected to be a strong, positive voice on weekly client status calls, maintaining a clear status sheet and ensuring tasks are completed on time and to budget.  They will contribute to client meetings – providing rationale for recommendations and insights into performance.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Have an in-depth understanding of digital display advertising platforms and how to define, segment and target people online.
  • Have some understanding of other digital and offline channels and how they contribute to the media plan.
  • Previous experience with digital performance media and driving outcomes.
  • Ability to independently activate, manage, and optimise campaigns, as well as create reports and analyse performance
  • Problem solving and trouble shooting skills with the ability to identify and escalate as necessary
  • A strong team player who is able to work as part of multi-channel team
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy throughout process from campaign set up to finance reconciliation
  • Excellent numeracy and Excel skills
  • Collaborative, team player with inquisitive attitude

Desirable:

  • Ideally possess hands-on experience of more than one media channel
  • Knowledge of using analytics packages such as Google Analytics
  • Experience in a full-service agency working closely with creative teams
  • People management
  • Language skills
  • Pan-regional activation experience is a plus but not essential
