Job Description

The Media Supervisor supervises specific groups of Senior Media Planners and Media Planners and Senior Search Managers and is the day-to-day Search point of contact overseeing the workflow. This person plays a lead role on strategy development and manages their staff and workflow to deliver flawless work while mentoring junior team members to provide ongoing feedback and teaching opportunities. They continually evaluate and improve upon media processes and opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Actively engages in understanding of search and social landscape and best practices through participation in internal training programs

• Oversees Sr. Search Managers and Search Managers on developing components including keywords, copy, landing page selection, account structure, retargeting segments etc.

• Accountable for managing budgets towards performance goals

• Proactively proposes solutions to correct run rates and improve ROI

• Accountable for forecasting results through iterative models

• Responsible for risk management through QA as documented through a RACI

• Actively manage program to Best Practice standards and inspire “Next Practice” standards through test, learn and apply approach

• Identifies areas of risk and opportunity through on-going analysis on large data sets

• Presents weekly results and explains changes in performance and actions taken to improve results

• Presents quarterly strategy and test plan to clients

• Cultivates partner relationships in ways that are strategic and help drive client business

• Collaborates with internal team on holistic media planning and measurement

• Prepares routine and ad-hoc reports in response to client and internal manager questions and requests

• Presents quarterly competitive monitoring insights

• Anticipates client questions and assist in developing responses to client questions

• Aids in on-boarding new personnel to team

• Participates in cross-functional initiatives to better understand Razorfish service offerings

• Participates in internal management training to develop Leadership competency

Skills:

• Helps junior staff develop their skills

• Has delivered plans that incorporate new media platforms and technologies

• Has developed a strong understanding/grasp of performance media including search, social and programmatic

• Has strong client relationship skills

• Proactively brings the client ideas beyond the scope of what was asked for

• Delivers operational solutions to improve internal processes

• Has a track record of owning team’s deliverables and maintaining a high standard of quality

• Has demonstrated emerging internal and external (agency partner) collaboration skills

Experience and Job Requirements:

• 4-6 years of overall media planning and SEM experience; minimum of 5 years digital media planning

• Solid educational background in critical thinking, quantitative analysis and writing

• Ability to work well in a team, to shine as an individual and to maintain a sense of humor

• Experience managing a complex task list and meeting tight deadlines

• Proficiency with MS Office with advanced Excel skills

• Aptitude to quickly learn new tools

• Comfort with professional acumen and processes

• Strong client-service orientation

• Fundamental understanding of online campaign measurement and methodologies

• Keen sense for details

• Conversant SEM best practices and current industry developments

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year, accredited college or university
