Are you a senior-level visual designer with experience working alongside UX teams and a natural flair for slick, modern marketing design?

About the Job:

• Razorfish is looking to add a Sr. UI Designer to our growing client team in either New York City or Austin, Texas.
• You will conceptualize and develop digital visual design assets in support of UX teams who are building consumer-facing mobile and web applications, landing pages, and microsites.
• You will provide guidance to the creative process (from a visual design perspective) and assist in determining the overall look and feel of the projects you are working on.

About You:

• You are comfortable helping to concept and lead the visual design direction of digital projects including translating and extending those concepts into effective visual designs
• Most of your professional experience has been in the digital space with an emphasis on mobile design
• You have a deep understanding of the UX process but aren't interested in building wireframes, personas, or any of that kind of stuff... you are driven by beautiful design
• You have experience designing for microsites, landing pages, banner ads, product pages, mobile applications, social campaigns, and similar digital projects
• You love working with design systems and iconography and have experience building and evolving them
• You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and aren't thrown off by unexpected pivots
• You love to collaborate and work together with multi-disciplinary teams to create and build solutions
• You are comfortable working on multiple concurrent projects at different stages of completion
• You have frequently been accused of having a maniacal attention to detail
• You love leading and mentoring more junior creatives but aren't necessarily looking to manage them

• A bachelor's degree is fine but we're more interested in your book and the experience you bring to the table
• 6-8 years of professional design experience, almost exclusively in the digital space with a specific focus on mobile-first design
• Prior experience within a digital advertising agency would be amazing but isn't a requirement
• Expert-level skills with Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator are a must; experience working with other specialized programs like XD, After Effects, Figma, Balsamiq, and Invision would be awesome
• An ability to collaborate, ideate, and concept alongside a cross-functional team
• Prior experience building design systems (including mobile icons) from scratch as well as evolving existing systems
• Storyboarding skills are a definite plus
• Some prototyping experience would be great
• An incredible portfolio showcasing clean, modern visual designs for digital experiences is a must. Please note that this is NOT a UX- or product-design role, so while wires, flows, and case studies are awesome, that's not going to be what we're looking for in your book. We're interested in your visual design skills.
