A passion for craft

Job Description

Want to join a dedicated, passionate team working on some of the most ground-breaking developments in global healthcare? At Langland, every single project we work on aims to better people’s lives – and the scientific strategy team play an integral role to ensure success.

As a Scientific Strategist, you’ll be part of an exciting new team at Langland, focused on providing scientific strategy for key clients, across the four disciplines of Medical Strategy & Education (MSE), Advertising, Public Relations & Policy (PRP), and Clinical Trial Experience (CTE).  You will be involved in working with the teams to provide a comprehensive scientific and strategic point of view across a variety of types of projects across range of therapeutic areas, working in conjunction with senior strategists.  You will be responsible for clearly understanding the scientific, clinical and commercial landscape from a strategic perspective for a product and providing insights to develop the scientific strategy for specific projects.

You will have the opportunity to work with a range of teams within Langland and the wider Publicis Health business on cross-discipline work and new business activities. Working in partnership with the client services and editorial teams, you will be a vital member of the team, nurturing and expanding the business relationships we have with our clients. If you are curious, forward-thinking, and passionate about exploring new opportunities, then you’ll fit right in.

Qualifications

If you are someone who’s ambitious, passionate about science, able to think strategically, and ready to change how people see healthcare communications – then we’d love to meet you. You’ll need a solid background in life sciences (preferably a bachelor’s degree at 2:1 or above, and ideally a master’s degree or PhD) and experience working in a healthcare communications agency (in either a client service, medical/copy writing, or strategy capacity).  You’ll have the ability to critique not only scientific and clinical data but the broader healthcare professional/consumer/commercial landscape, identifying the key insights, developing clear strategies, and executing effectively on the proposed approach.  You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable developing and maintaining client relationships.

We’re looking for someone who works well in a team and forms strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.  You’ll be proactive and flexible in your thinking and looking to expand your strategic skillsets as part of a dynamic team. Ideally you’ll be based in our London office, but we’re open to flexibility and allow for home working where possible.

And if you like to Think Further, join the club. Here at Langland, we’re an open-minded team – always on the look out for new ideas; whether that’s in the work we produce or a way of thinking.
